No Schaefer is just a much better player at the same age. But if you want to think this thats fine. Schaefer seems super underrated for some reason by many posters. Elite talent levels are so obvious.

Hughes spent a good chunk of the season playing with nagging shoulder injuries. He still managed to beat his rookie season points rate. He was up and down on the power play depending upon Hamilton's health. If NJ moves Hamilton and Luke is healthy it's hard seeing him not topping 50 points absent some really awful luck. If he's PP1 all season and Jack is also healthy I'd expect Luke to manage something like 10-12 goals and 45-50 assists.
