Why would the blues trade him? He’s locked up at a reasonable number and is in his prime. If you can get another really good player I get it but getting a “package” for him makes no sense for the Blues.

That would be correct, they would trade him to get better at a different position....otherwise they won't.

Kyrou's full NTC starts on July 1st. He has no trade protection until then.

A top 4 RD or 2C at a comparable age is the framework for what it'd take.

If My Blues were to trade Kyrou, I'd imagine it's in a deal for Noah Dobson. I just don't see any other options that would be sensible.

Blues probably attach Leddy as a cap dump too....only 1 yr at 4 mill and he's serviceable and obviously extremely familiar with the Islanders organization. Maybe he recoups some value and they flip him with retention at next years deadline.

Wonder if NYI would be open to taking faulk back too? or instead of Leddy?

I would be shocked if the Blues are actually looking to deal Kyrou. It would have to be a hockey trade for a similarly valuable player that fills a very specific need (RD, C, or different style of winger). Do the Leafs have any of those that they can offer for Kyrou? Doubt the Leafs are looking to move Matthews or Knies, so I don't really see a trade that would make any sense for both sides.

I feel like Peterka for Kyrou is something that if both teams wanted it, it would be done.

Buffalo probably wants either a better player or someone thats a permanent C. But in reality I doubt they get a much better offer than Kyrou 1 for 1. Plus he's actually signed long term

St. Louis probably would prefer a D (maybe Byram? Although Dobson is better) but getting Peterka for Kyrou would be great value
