That would be correct, they would trade him to get better at a different position....otherwise they won't.Why would the blues trade him? He’s locked up at a reasonable number and is in his prime. If you can get another really good player I get it but getting a “package” for him makes no sense for the Blues.
Don’t Kyrou and Suzuki train together or was that someone else? Wouldn’t be upset depending on the price but we really need a 2C and top pairing RHD before a WI smell HABS.
Doesn't help them down the middle of the ice. Doesn't help them get heavier to play against. I don't see it given the current make up of the team.I smell HABS.
Kyrou's full NTC starts on July 1st. He has no trade protection until then.he has a full no-trade for entire contract so he'll decide where he goes if Army brings up the convo.
if its the isles for Dobson I feel as though its a good down payment but would need a cherry on top
They don’t want crybabies on their teamIt would seem like the moment they trade him, he's exactly what they are now looking for. What's the point?
A top 4 RD or 2C at a comparable age is the framework for what it'd take.Would love to get him in Anaheim on a line with Cutter and Carlsson. Blues looking to get younger on defense is that where one of their needs is?
Except for the goalie he can be a crybabyThey don’t want crybabies on their team
I guess the idea is trade Carlo for Kyrou and attempt to sign EkbladDidn’t the leafs just get rid of a soft offensive winger? If he was a centre maybe.
I would be shocked if the Blues are actually looking to deal Kyrou. It would have to be a hockey trade for a similarly valuable player that fills a very specific need (RD, C, or different style of winger). Do the Leafs have any of those that they can offer for Kyrou? Doubt the Leafs are looking to move Matthews or Knies, so I don't really see a trade that would make any sense for both sides. Not sure why the Blues would deal Kyrou…
Maybe the Leafs are going after him as a Marner replacement?
To help Seravalli get clicks. What you said is true, the Blues are not going to trade Kyrou for a “package”.Why would the blues trade him? He’s locked up at a reasonable number and is in his prime. If you can get another really good player I get it but getting a “package” for him makes no sense for the Blues.
Seravall clarified on Daily Faceoff Live that Kyrou's name is not out there for 1st round picks. They're looking for an "impact piece." He mentioned Dobson and Peterka as the kind of return they'd want.
