Kyle Okposo

when was that?
his nhl career high is 24. ( only off by one.....its no big deal so dont sweat it )
personally, i loved the nielsen okposo bailey line. they picked it up when tavares and his boy(e)s fell asleep.

i like that line too. i like Bailey with JT, but the benefit of having scoring depth is important, and think this line should stay together. i'm sure that JT would have liked better linemates, but i am certain that he understands that what is best for the team, is what is best. as long as they win, he will be happy. that is the sign of a great leader.

JT never fell asleep. Moulson and Boyes... well, you know.

This has to be the make or break year for Kyle. Either he comes ready to play, or we trade his *** for need, and we have a several needs. His inability to play actual hockey before the all star break is maddening. What's worse is Grabner isn't far behind him.

I remember grabs starting the season well? What do you mean?

I don't know why anyone thinks otherwise. Even when that line was at its worst, Tavares kept scoring goals at the same rate. His point pace overall dropped, mainly because he wasn't getting assists, mainly because his linemates weren't scoring. Moulson scored something like 4 goals in his last 24 games(stretches out to about 14 goals over an 82 game pace).

It's unfortunate that some people think Tavares slumped last year. I'd argue that he stepped up his game even more to produce while his linemates went into ghost-mode.

Seems a bit rash. Okposo at his worst is still a 40+ point player. You'd have to assume that if he finds even the least bit of consistency, he'll be a 50 point player. At best, he turns into the player we've all been hoping for and becomes a 60-70 point guy.

Either way, he's a valuable player to have with a reasonable contract. Same for Grabner. He'll probably never be a 34 goal scorer again, but he's extremely valuable from the 3rd line and the PK. His speed is something rare, and something we need. IMO, Grabs will always have a spot on this team.
