Player Discussion: Kyle Connor : Lady Byng Winner

Nice work Kyle - people are starting to notice that you know hockey.
My favorite Jet since the day he was drafted - love the skill, how easy he makes it look, and how much he obviously loves playing the game.
And he's only going to get better . . . .

47 biscuits and a 🏆 on the side!

The guys that usually win this award, are among the best that play the game -
So regardless of how the award is perceived by some, it's an honorable award to win.
Skill, Sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct are good things - right?

A few of high profile past winners:

Mike Bossy, New York Islanders
Wayne Gretzky, Edmonton Oilers
Paul Kariya, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim
Jari Kurri, Edmonton Oilers
Marcel Dionne, Los Angeles Kings
Brett Hull, St. Louis Blues
Joe Sakic, Colorado Avalanche
Alexander Mogilny, Toronto Maple Leafs
Ron Francis, Carolina Hurricanes
Pavel Datsyuk, Detroit Red Wings
Martin St. Louis, Tampa Bay Lightning
Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche
Gilbert Perreault, Buffalo Sabres
Stan Mikita, Chicago Black Hawks
Bobby Hull, Chicago Black Hawks
Dave Keon, Toronto Maple Leafs
Red Kelly, Detroit Red Wings

Pretty impressive

Good luck Connor -
When I hear Lady Byng, I think Gretzky............so quite a prestigious honor in my opinion.

I heard on NHL radio this morning that the only penalties Connor took was a slashing on McDavid and a hooking on Barzal. Connor must have been at the end of a long shift, was a little tired, and couldn't catch these guys.
The one on McDavid

And the one on Barzal
