Lundell slide in tonight, I would expect the same next game
Barkov would have expected that hit had he possessed the puck and that hit wouldn't be that forcefulLet’s not get too cocky. Tampa is still a great team with very dangerous players and the job is only half finished.
I do agree we need to not even think about retaliation. Play our game, insert even more toughness, finish every check, make them uncomfortable, be physical af. All of that yes. But coming out like you need to just hit someone or go after Hagel and that’s where you lose the plot. I know Maurice and the boys are too smart and experienced for that. When teams do that too us they fail. So hopefully if we can keep shutting down their top guys and they get very frustrated then we have a real chance of closing this out.
To be honest I thought the Hagel hit was a beauty, but the problem is that Barkov didn’t have the puck so it was a cheap shot interference. Barky I think was really shaken up and the league probably following concussion protocol. So I’m hoping he’s ready for next game. It’s the playoffs, Schmidt happens.

If any of the the Panthers drop the gloves with Hagel, they'll both get 5 minutes for fighting. That will fire up the crowd and the team.
Don't see how that hurts?
The main reason I believe that it was a dirty hit was that Hagel leapt into Barkov. You could see his skates in the air as Barkov's head snapped back and he drove Barkov into the boards.
How many games did Bennett get a few seasons ago in the playoffs for a lesser hit?

Greer is bad mfBoqvist needs to sit. He only played 6 minutes and was basically invisible. Play Greer over him. Then if Barkovs out, play Gadjo.
