Look Panthers are dirty. I love it. I love that other teams hate the Panthers. I hated the whole "Boy Borgstrom looks spooky, you guys are gonna be scary soon" nonsense. But I will 100% call out some bullshit. That said, the hit doesn't look that bad? I am thinking Bennett is going to be suspended, maybe a while because Stolarz is f***ed but it didn't look that bad? It gives a huge advantage to Florida game 2 though because Woll is not good.

There is no way that’s a suspension. It was the least amount of contact I’ve ever seen. Didn’t extend an arm or anything

Bennett definitely made contact with his head intentionally, it wasn’t hard contact, but if Stolarz’s condition is as bad as it appears to be, the league may need some kind of scapegoat. And maybe Bennett’s contact really did do something, or at least exacerbate an existing issue.

It doesn't take much at all if you're hit in the back/bottom of head, you don't need to do a charged attack like Ekblad chasing a porkchop sandwich. Especially since he took a puck to the head earlier.

The same way Bob is going to have one bad game a series, Bennett is going to be a menace and risk suspension at least once a playoff run. We'll manage.

You can't predict the league though. It really is unfortunate. Mikkola looks like he's trying to put Girgensons in a wheelchair permanently and he doesn't miss a shift after the hit, what looks like a lovetap sends a player to the hospital.

We are not going to win every game. Leafs came out to play the game of their lives and kudos to them, we came out flat. We had a terrible overall game. Some stretches were good until Mikkola took a dumb penalty. Then we had a horrible line change. Bob let in some really bad goals. Things just didn’t go our way. Not taking anything away from the Leafs they played well. But we were genuinely bad. So that’s the silver lining that we still managed to within a goal.

If we take next game and split, I’ll be happy. This could be a long series.
Either way, this is good. Adversity is sometimes needed when you’re a champion and just destroyed a team that was supposed to be the favorite like Tampa. Brings us back to bringing that mentality needed.
