If they ever trade him, I hope its to Pittsburg.

He'd probably be a 25-30g scorer with selke like defense.

I love watching Kulemin just charge into a zone with 2 or more guys on him and some how he powers through them and keeps possession. He always seems to make room for Kadri/Lupul.

Kulemin has 5 goals in his last 7 games and is on quite a role of late.

He is playing some good hockey with Kadri and Lupul and doing most of the heavy lifting (board and corner) work for his linemates.

He seems to have new life now.

Bu-bu-but he's just along for the ride!

Kulemin is hitting A LOT more. Like, he's reaching Komarov levels of check-finishing. I feel like Carlyle is trying to get his mean streak out of him. It's working too.

Is anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

I've noticed. Last night, I thought his line was one of the best ones out there.

I noticed he knocked down Rick Nash with a nice hit to his back in our zone last night. 3rd period after Nash scored his second.

We took the puck too.

I really like Kule as a complimentary piece. He's a jack of all trades, master of none but that's a good thing. Can provide a little of everything.

I notice it too. I remember watching videos of him playing in the KHL, he used to destroy players. He's a darn good hitter...it's nice that he's using his size to his advantage.

He's tied for 17th in hits (forwards) this season with 99.

He had 97 hits in 70 games last season.

The coaching staff must have told him to step it up.

I love how with Kulemin you can put him out there with Kadri and he will help provide offense and then right after you achieve the league you can drop him down to a line with McClement and Komarov and you then have a shutdown line to help protect the league. He really is just an amazing utility player.

I think he got tired of playing with mr tunnel vision.

Getting him away from Grabovski was the best move this team has made this year. He seems more engaged and lively and contributing offensively. Maybe, just maybe he can regain his scoring touch next year and be a hell of player.

Glad coaching staff started to use him with Kadri.

If loved the way Kulemin since the Kuli, Bozak and Kessel line a few years ago. He's stronger than MOST of the league, hits like a truck (would like him to hit more and he's starting too), has a strong wrister, and is FASTER than Kessel (leafs skills event).

He really is a complete hockey player and I'm beyond glad hes turned it around.

If you want to play a fun game, try talking about Kulemin with casual Leaf fans and see how long you can go before you pull your hair out.

Lmao, a guy on Facebook that I know works at Hockey Life and updated his status saying,

Met Nikolai Kulemin today at work, he may not be the most consistent player for the leafs, but a decent guy still

Made me want to pull my hair out.

This reminds me.

Third period, Kulemin drilled a Rangers player in front of the Rangers bench and lead to a 2 on 1 with Kadri and another player I forget where we didn't get a shot on net.

Does anyone remember this hit? Any chance theres a video out somewhere?

Huge hit that went unnoticed by the commentators.

Tail end.

And then 8 people liked it, right?

I see it all the time. I don't understand why it's so hard for more casual fans to notice these things.

He's not faster than Kessel in game. Not all players care or try during skills events.

Kulemin is what he is, a good responsible 3rd line player.
