Goalies peaks are 30 to 45 (The premier ones)

It probably helps these guys that they lose some flexibility they had when they were young men. it forces them to dial in the form and focus on the efficiency of their movements.

Good combination to have along with lots of NHL experience by that point.

People wrote him off when he won the cup with Colorado, because he put on one of the worst statistical runs for a goalie on their way to a cup. But I knew he still had some good years left in him. Washington just wasn't a good fit for him.

LA easily wins this trade. They not only got out of a horrendous Dubois contract but they got a #1 goalie in return and Keumper is an upgrade over Talbot.

People may forget this but he was already excellent on the Kings once--he was the fateful sacrificial lamb when they committed to Cal Petersen.

Basically just picked up where he left off but with more wear and tear. Not sure he can be counted on to be playing a workload so hard, he's already been IR'ed twice.

Also f***in jinx thread, we really didn't need that on our goaltending of all things!
Wasn't it Campbell who replaced Kuemper? Then Campbell was traded to Toronto to make room for Petersen

It's not a thing. Every goalie who played well into his late 30s and even 40s peaked long before that.

Goalies peak during their athletic peak, just as all other hockey players.
Ahh well there it is. Thanks for that.

He wasn't even bad in that run. He had 2 rough games where he gave up 5 goals each. Other than that, he was pretty solid. He was better than Vasilevskiy in the finals, which is no small feat.

I would've loved to have him back. Not really sure what happened to him in Washington. Maybe just a little goalie voodoo. But I'm not surprised he bounced back. He's definitely not a flash in the pan. He's been a good goalie for a very long time.

lol acting like caps fans haven't been absolutely dumping on him all year since the moment it was announced he was traded, come on

TLDR yes, yes you are
Let's not pretend there's not a near-500 post thread on PLD with Hundreds of posts shitting on him... several from you.

It's about a 20:1 PLD shitting vs. Kuemper shitting ratio I'd say

Feel free to quote me anywhere on the mains re: Kuemper (hint: you won't find any)

Those Kings teams resuscitated Kuemper, Scrivens, and Budaj in addition to launching Jones’ career. I think Bernier is the only one who came into his own only after leaving.

I acknowledged that, I'm saying it's a little silly for Caps fans to be playing holier-than-thou like they were nice to Kuemper when he was packing, we're at least honest about motherf***ing PLD

Is that why Colorado immediately got rid of him after winning the cup? he wasn't very good in Washington either.
He was very good in Colorado till he got injured . Just strange wording that a goalie has only “ arrived “ after a decade in the league; a starter for most of it and an effective one more often than not . Put up respectable numbers early w weak Coyote clubs additionally . He arrived long ago ..
