Special thanks to the Lightning fanbase - will never go thirsty again from all the tears they've been providing since the 2022 finals.

Maybe they should come out with a new trophy for most empty net points. Kucherov can win that yearly.

Kucherov was not robbed of the Hart, obviously.

I can't take this thread seriously because of the one-sided hyperbole in the thread title.
sure you can list a boatload of reasons Kuch should have won.
the other guys argument made by everyone.......hes a good choice cant go wrong. lol

Nathan ”secondary” Mackinnon with 0 real points again today as his team loses another game. Kucherov carried Jonas Johansson to a positive record, but I guess it would be too much to expect from someone who isn’t even the best player on their team.

Sorting by points per game when he's played 2 games is pretty funny, especially since he scored 4 points in one of them.

It'd be a good idea to maybe wait a bit longer.

Yes, and you can also list a boatload of reasons why the guy who actually won should have won. Therefore, Kucherov clearly was not "robbed".
no you cant. on the runup to the voting they listed how far Kuch was ahead of the rest of his team, how he is the fist winger to get to 100 assists how he won the scoring tittle.
and the other got "you can't argue with him as a choice"
It was a rob job

That isnt even true but good luck with that. How many back to back cups did Mackinnon win? Ill wait ZERO.
kucherov currently has as of this minute 5 points. 2 of them are empty net goals. Soooooo math guy over here 2 divided by 5 equals .4, convert that into a percentage and poof 40%.

Lol covid Cups. Theyre worth the same in the history books, but we all know they aren't equal.

And ironically, I could argue the Avs could be going for 4 this year if Nuke didnt have a drug problem. Quit on them mid series two years in a row. Pretend like the Lightning lose Stamkos those two Cup runs. See what happens.

Why wasnt the voting closer then? The closest vote in recent years was Hall 1264 (72 first place votes) to MacKinnon 1194 (60 first place votes).

Last year was MacKinnon 1740 (137 first place votes), Kucherov 1269 (50 first place votes).

Obviously not unanimous, but that really isnt close either. And in general, find it weird this is brought up again, while Kuck is currently 6 points back from the scoring lead and 2 of his 5 points are free empty netters.

And then lastly, we all can agree these are biased moron writers, so we take the Lindsay into account, which are their piers!!!! The argument is done.

I do feel a little bad for Kuch for the whole 100 assist thing. Everyone was hyping McDavid being the 100 assist guy, sucking his balls for being a playmaking god and then when Kuch got 100 assists too it was like "oh congrats to him too I guess". If he was Canadian he 100% would have gotten more praise and possibly the Hart as well but Nate was only 4 points off with 50+ goals and without his captain which is pretty important to the hart voters I think.

You threw this out hoping no one would double check it, didn't you?

In 232 minutes of 5v5 hockey last season with Rantanen but without MacKinnon on the ice, the Colorado Avalanche scored 8 goals. Not Rantanen. The team.

That's not only worse than with them on the ice as a duo, or with MacKinnon but without Rantanen, but that scoring rate is worse than when neither Rantanen nor MacKinnon was on the ice.
Rantanen was sneaky bad last year. No one notices because of the point totals, but Lehkonen's dad called him out early in the season for his lack of off-season work and he never really improved from there. The Avs went as far as Mackinnon and Makar (having a subpar year himself, but still excellent) could take them.

Im curious what this is referencing? A different year than last year?

Below is the comparison, but going off this, I dont see the massive difference in secondary points or even a majority for MacKinnon alone earning him a nickname.
