With a player as short as Vatanen it is literally impossible to not contact the head on a North-south open-ice hit.

It is utterly insane that we're suspending players based on millimetres on clean open-ice hits but that nobody bats an eye when Lovejoy is blasted straight from behind into the boards a minute later on a far dirtier and more dangerous play. The whole sport has lost the plot.

Really curious to see where the league goes with this one. IMO there should be no suspension.
