I know someone who was a goalie in Switzerland for a while, had 2 kids over there. Now his kids are grown up and speak 3 languages. He just had a baby so maybe he did just want to live abroad for a bit. Raise his kid far from the drama of US politics

There are seven Canadian teams in the league, although that's a whole other kind of drama.
