Don't blame the goalie!
As long as he does what he does in the playoffs, this is fully acceptable seeing as how those 25 and 25 will be game changing points as they always are.
Chris Kreider is the one guy I don't trade for anybody that isn't a Hart Trophy winner. Even then, that wouldn't be a guarantee.
We spend every summer wondering what went wrong, and I'm sure many of you have recently watched our playoff reruns like I have in trying to figure it out.
I watched that last 3rd period the most, because it was very telling on who does what when it all mattered.
I thought Mika and Grabner were the only two guys that were doing anything near what Kreider was as far as making some sort of meaningful push forward. Just look at our record when he contributes a point, it's like ridiculous.
Sometimes he plays hurt, sometimes he just has an off game as most do. But he is truly our most valuable player outside the crease. Video shows.
OK I love Zucc with all the blue in my blood, enough that I mention him here, and I wouldn't trade him either....but Kreidizzle...look where we've been since he's been here.
I probably would've held on to Stepan and Girardi and looked to get rid of guys who were obviously less than a positive on the team.
