She did say how excited she was to be doing Sens games given that she grew up a Sens fan.

I was going to ask if she was related to Newsy, but realized Lalonde isn't that rare of a name throughout the NHL.

In Canada, especially in Eastern Ontario and Quebec, this is probably the most common french name you will find.

She's easy to listen to, gets the players names right and tracks the play well. As her confidence and experience tracks, she will add flavour to her repertoire. I'm finding a lot of fans expect her to be a 11/10 on the banter part of being in pbp announcer. I'll agree she's keeping it simple but damn, it's her third game.
