Ottawa has a need for a top 6 Right winger and Kravtsov has the potential to be that top six RW and Kravtsov could be the guy. From my readings it seems as though he has value equal to or slightly more than Lias Andersson who was traded for a second round pick(Vegas).

Rangers fans would Tampa's 2nd(currently pick 58 as of this post) be enough?

His value is probably an early 2nd right now, but the NYRs will not trade him for that... and they shouldn't.

I would think they could get a higher 2nd than 58. He's not worth a 1st, but I'd say a top half 2nd. Rags probably would prefer a player now though.

Probably somewhere between 25-40 like others said, but again, they would probably rather package him with someone else for an NHL player upgrade.

Rangers aren’t dealing him for a pick. They know what they have in Kravtsov. He’s talented. I could see him dealt for another teams project. Best case scenario, is the Rangers try to mend the relationship

no, what you read or are quoting are entirely wrong.
It is clickbait being put out by vultures who want something for nothing,

not gonna happen

1. Krav value set by draft pedigree at 9OA.

2. That does not change until he plays meaningful mins long enough to establish his current value.

3. Playing 20 games on the 4th line for a shit show of am injured team with an idiot coach DOES NOT COUNT.

4. The critique of Lias Andersson is fair, and Rangers were lucky to recoup what they did for him. But there is a huge dif. Andersson actually got full chance of meaningful mins w/Kreider, Zib etc.; Krav did not. Lias was a major draft mistake overreach, who demonstrates no talent whatsoever, and whose only asset was reported as his motor and drive.

5. This is not the case with Kravtsov, who actually can skate, pass, shoot, etc.

6. This is verified by the fact Krav has had success in the KHL which is arguably the 2nd best league in the world after NHL.

7. Rangers mgmt deserves to be excoriated for this debacle, including the idiocy of win now efforts to make playoffs last yr that a blind man could see were doomed to fail. They self rented Buch up to the last minute, and it reduced the return. Strome had to go the nanosecond we extended Zib, which team cap situation got exacerbated by inevitable new deal for Fox, both of which had to get done. Strome should have already been moved, but was not, denying Krav a spot due to fitting bodies on the roster while finessing waiver situation.
Krav has a temporary right of expectation to a roster spot vs Strome b'c Krav's elc status = ability to afford his contract, which is no longer the case for Strome, who deserving to get paid, will move on.

8. Howev, the above pt, and the apparent fact that Drury for whatev reason did not favor this holdover from his predecessor, is ot a basis to artificially distort the value of Krav

9. The Rangers will be able to correct this mistake in that there will be a roster spot for him last month + of the NHL season when KHL season finishes. There is the irrecoverable opportunity cost of wasted time from not getting it right at sq 1, but beyond that they can inititate a fresh look at Krav then,

10. It will be critical that Rangers learn from their mistake and give him meaningful mins w/meaningful quality linemates, again, means Kreider, Zib, Panarin. Hopefully they get that and go there.

11. For multiple reasons including cap situation next yr, Krav is not available for stupid win now overreach that does not help in the long run and again, emphasizing cap, when dealt after his value is re-established, will be for a high pick/+.

12. All of the above is a process. Krav's value can be discounted slightly from retail to wholesale b'c a suitor would be offering Drury the opportunity to expedite the issue. Also, dealing Krav for a pick not yet an elc countract helps w/cap space which is a consideration until we replace Trouba w/Schneider, a timetable JT controls.
But that is like 9OA to within top 12 or maybe top 15 in a strong draft.
It is not a giveaway to a 2nd.

------------
So neither TBs late 2nd or any other 2nd will be enuf

We don't want/need Branstrom

we can consider a larger package w/adds on both sides
if attractive enuf assets are available

otherwise, NY will deal elsewhere
or
keep and cultivate Krav asset internally

Yeah, he's arguably worth a 2nd, but not a late ass 2nd.

I'd take a 25th - 40th, for example.

He's worth more so no.

If the value is a 2nd then I just wait on him... he’s not a sunk cost like Lias Andersson.
Fortunately the actual value is not 2nd as OP misinforms.
Agree he is not anthing like Lias, and actual no talent bust.

Agree best scenario could be mend the relationship, and look at EDM and Pulj, who'da thunk that!

But if he is dealt, as explained, a pick IS preferable, PROVIDED it is significantly high enough.

I could see a team like MON adding secondary 2022 draft picks + delayed gratification for a 2023 1st

All good information if they follow suit. To date Drury has nothing but gone the wrong way with this guy. Your assumption is that will change. Sounds more like a hope from you than a reality. Also, depending on how much damage he has done is Krav done with Drury? He could just say no and stay in the K. Both of these scenarios are possible.

His value is equal to his draft position until he proves us wrong? What the hell kind of logic is that? The kid is like three years removed from his draft and hasn’t cracked the lineup. He’s not worth a pick anywhere a near 9th overall pick.

Why should another team pay the price you paid when he’s so much older and looking more like he won’t reach his potential?

possible but unlikely
K wants to jump start an NHL career somewhere.

Drury may or may not be obstinate, but he is smart enuf to know not to cut his nose to spite his face.

No time machine to go backward.
Need is to focus on forward progress which is as I described.

what team gives up that ?
A team that sees value.

Getting a #1 pick whose play really hasn't done anything to demonstrate that he was a bad pick as a first rounder for a 2nd round pick.

A team that would prefer a player who is closer to being NHL ready than a 2nd round pick.

Bern has never been able to comprehend that draft slot value is not retained multiple years after the draft.

The false narratives "so much older and looking more like he won’t reach his potential" is called out for bs.
He has performed very well in the K, which is a nhigh level league.

Arguably he got zero legit shot AND THAT IS THE overriding dominant consideration,

You rail vs what said, asserting:
His value is equal to his draft position until he proves us wrong? What the hell kind of logic is that?
His value IS what it is -- orig as established by draft n-- until he has legit chance to demonstrate what it actually is.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Again, it is illogical that Rangers should have this exenstively mismanaged his situation, but that is irrelevant to an objective evaluation of his talent.
This is supposed to be a top F.
He got 4th line mins w/4th liners on a bad team.

If this was Lias Andersson, and he got everything beyond what he deserved -- continued chances w/Zib, Kreider, etc etc, --- then yes, THEN you could say he had a legit opportunity.
This is not the case.

He obv did not get that chance, and until he does, that overrides every other consideration because it is ONLY by this measure that we can have an accurate gage as to an his actual value and potential.

bern recognizes, which apparently you don't, is that the issue of multiple years bends, buckles and breaks in capitulation to whether or not he got a legit opportunity during that time.

And btw, this "multiple years" is a couple.
It's not like we are looking at a guy drafted age 20, Martians kidnapped him, he returned age 29.

He's 3 years post draft and has done nothing in the nhl. Whether you like it or not that hurts his trade value. I dont care who his linemates have been, 1st round picks are expected to produce SOMETHING by now.
