Eyeball-wise, he looks comfortable and fluid and his fundamentals look good when the puck is in the Kraken zone. His reactions appear quick and sharp. He's made a couple exceptional saves.

This game went from absolutely unwatchable, and Fuhrious won't stfu with the forum negativity, to suddenly I'm engaged and invested in seeing this kid finish this debut.

I wish the team saw the value in getting us excited about the youngsters.

Ostman closes out the game with a fantastic 3rd period. IMO the team still looked lousy in front of him and he made 7 or 8 grade A saves. Absolutely love it for the guy.

Yeah...according to NaturalStatTrick, Daccord saw 6 "high danger chances" in the first two periods, while Ostman saw 5 in the 3rd period alone.

This is why NHL ice time is so valuable for the almost ready guys. He looked fantastic tonight and made the most of an opportunity.

Sure, it’s a small sample size, but it’s a great start for the guy. I’m happy for him.

Didn't watch the game, but glad to read that Ostman had a good showing. For whatever reason, I thought he was in his late 20s but was pleasantly surprised to see he is only 24.
