I had no idea it was that big.

Also, Bouy seems like a home run for girls. Immediately reminds me of something that would resonate with girls. I’m an expert about what girls like after all, being a grown ass adult man with two sons. Lmfao.

You know. Despite what opinions one may have about the new Kraken mascot, Bouy is a fantastic name, so I think they got at least that part right.

It’s also important to remember that Krakan aren’t real, so it’s kind of all up for interpretation and we should keep an open mind…

Next thing you know I’ll be changing my user name to gsvinceneil. :)

no matter what Seattle would have done there would be those that love it and those that would hate it.

It feels like some marketing people from outside of Seattle tried to be edgy. No one really thinks of the troll with Seattle. It's a quirk but so is the Lenin statue in Fremont and they sure as hell aren't going to use Lenin. Will be funny seeing it at posh fundraisers.

It was always going to be a difficult thing to come up with.

the fact they are associating it with the fremont troll, which as someone not from Seattle I had to look up, is a bit cringe.
the fremont troll is a hostlile work of art specifically created to deter homeless people from sleeping under the bridge. and they want to say buoy is the fremont troll's nephew. how tf did that pass review?

How the mascot isn't an octopus or some sort of sea creature is just............bizarre.

Maybe he's going to "troll" other team's fan boards.

Not stoked about this. Liked actually having depth at that position. We're not going to be able to claim anybody with Jones and Gru on the main squad.

Well, maybe they'll vaive him again(they actually have two good goalies) and then we could claim him automatically and send him to the AHL.

I thought we had first dibs after losing him on waivers just like TB got Barre-Boullet back last season.

We also finished third to last and should be very high up the list when it comes to picking on the waiver wire.

Seattle can claim him first and keep him up on the main squad, but if they send him to the AHL and there is another team that claimed him below Seattle, they will get him. There are 30 day rules etc. This could definitely be a long term loss if that happens.

Well, it's just a strange one.

Unless one of their goalies got hurt(haven't seen anything) Hellberg will be on waivers again.
