All of the young D go through these phases where you think “oh this might be one of the future pieces”. I thought EDM has had a good run, but struggled tonight. I thought Kaiser was bad a couple weeks ago but he’s been money lately.

Davidson has really stymied the development of kids like Bedard and others with the dogshit coaches he puts behind the bench. No excuse for terrible coaches - rebuild or not
All mental for him. If he can stay confident and assertive in decision making he’ll be a legitimate top 4 defenseman.
I know he doesn’t have the length this front office has coveted on the back end but I really hope he’s a part of the future. Probably the best skater in the system right now

but after firing him there was no solution.
Can't hire a good coach when none are available.
Have to wait for the offseason and hope a playoff team scapegoats their coach.

I don't see much difference with Jones here versus without. They are good sometimes, they are shit sometimes.
Difference being we got a 1st round pick, a future starter, a lot of cap space for the next 5 years, and an open spot on the roster for Lev/Rinzel just for trading him to Florida.
It's not like the Hawks were the 5th or 6th worst team and dropped down to 2nd worst after trading him. We've been this bad all of this season, all of last season, and all of the season before (but with that season, there happened to be two teams worse than us in the standings).
Regarding Richardson, that team's lack of offense was a problem. With Sorenson, this team's lack of defense is a problem. I'd prefer to have offense than defense with this roster. But I would prefer an experienced head coach over either option.

Monty had history with the Blues. He wasn't going to sign here.
I want what you want, which means it needs to be a vet.
I do not want to see another rookie coach. I don't care how good of a season people's favorite college coach is having.
Hawks need a winner.

My eyes were bleeding watching this team play last night.
First game of the season that I literally had to turn off after the 2nd. I can usually make it through regardless of the score but with all the missed defensive assignments and bonehead plays I figured I was better off watching 90 day fiancé with my wife.
Terrible season, let it be over.
