Kraken @ Devils - 7:00 PM - MSG

Rachel is objectively pretty. But she also has that 'home-schooled strict family' look to her. Like she might still think Santa Clause is real

Wait.... He isn't?

Looks suspiciously like Sam Darnold so I don't know.... :sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm:

Good game...Got goalied a bit but almost missed a lot of chances ....They played a good tough game...Tanev is always a tough player to play against such a tenacious all out player...Not complaining really like what Pesce brings and he did good things but I thought it was one of his worst games Imo....

Yeah, I'm coming to the conclusion that Palat just can't play anymore, period. I cannot believe Keefe uses him to close out games - he doesn't have the speed to disrupt attackers anymore. Putting him with Hughes and Bratt has him doing the least amount of damage but it does make it into a 2 person line a lot of the time.

hughes and bratt are almost unstoppable the way they’re playing, it’s a disservice to them to have palat in their wing. they’re racking up points every game and over a ppg pace while he has 8 on the season stapled to their line, it’s crazy.

i’d put noesen with them honestly, and put tatar or mercer back up with nico and timo. he’s the best puck retrieval and net front guy we have and he can definitely hang with them better than palat. it honestly just feels like they’re trying to live up to the contract and reputation or respect they have for him.

and the team is winning so it’s not actively harming them but man it’s crazy to think these guys could be even better

It’s sad because prime Palat is like exactly the guy I’d want next to them. He just doesn’t have it anymore.

Both of Seattle’s goals last night had them splitting our defense on the rush. Burakofsky went between Luke and Pesce. On their second goal, the forward split Siegs and Kovacevic and Kovy took a high sticking or hooking call that was also a hold, leading to their power play.

It’s weird, all night long you could see Seattle trying to split our D. I wonder if they saw something on tape? In the Washington and Carolina games the opponents were also trying repeated stretch passes off the boards to get behind us.

Switching topics, I think Palat is perfect with Hughes and Bratt. He’s doing their dirty work in the corners and on the screens. Based on their success lately, it’s hard to argue that you’d change anything on their line. Bratt’s goal last night was a direct result of Palat’s screen. Jack and Jesper have been scoring off cycle’s in the O zone lately nearly as often as off the rush. You’ve got to have some Indians to go with the chiefs.

They mentioned Burakovsky was a healthy scratch the game before that.

Has he really fallen off that much?

He does have a slightly better production line to Ondrej Palat, now that I look.

It’s funny he was the guy I wanted instead the summer we signed Palat. But he’s either hurt or doesn’t produce either

Yes and I believe Hughes pointed that out in the post game interview about Palat...

I love how Dano was forcing the “goalies bring their best against the Devils for some reason” meme, while personally naming Blackwood and Grubauer. I don’t think he said Vladar. It’s funny he didn’t say Vasilevskiy, another goalie we got shutout by this season. Or Binnington, who really isn’t that good but won the cup as a starter.

It’s almost like he’s “Blackwood and Grubauer suck, so I’m not sure why the Devils can’t score on them with ease” without actually saying that.

Palat isn't doing anything useful on that line. Although he wasn't as bad as he has been in other games. What is Jack supposed to say Palat suck never going to happen in an interview. You can tell that Jack and Bratt play like they are alone on that line.

Keefe kind of looks like a comedian.

He doesn't sound or talk like one, but he has the look of someone who is goofball.

He definitely has the look of someone who could play a corrupt politican in either some kind of satire or comedy movie.

I guess, but I never felt like Erika was this robotic in her delivery.
I think Rachael will get better. She still fumbles her words. I definitely like her questions more. Erika was always asking stupid questions like "how does it feel to " do this and "what does it mean to" do that.

Rachael asks real hockey questions.

I hate saying this about a player, especially one who has already won Cups but Palat is, at this point of his career, a Passenger on this line.
