Agreed, which is why this is so damn annoying. Maybe they do need a loss where they got blown to smithereens by a team who's opportunistic to learn their lesson finally

Our best line has been the second line. The third line has played the least. The shitty 4th has played the more than the third.

Nico and Bratt were terrible that period and the worst players on the ice. Marino and Bahl were terrible as a pairing Marino individually made good plays. Dougie is a mess but dangerous for us. Severson and graves have been the best pair. Blackwood was fine but still some giant rebounds.

He's really great with his stick, picking guys pockets in traffic as they are trying to go by him. Also the way he anticipates the play and steps into the passing lanes often to start rushes the other direction.

I don’t think it’s unfair to say this game is a good example of the defensive system causing breakouts to be hard and encouraging the other team to forecheck as aggressively as possible.

Hughes really papered over how difficult it is to breakout with all 5 guys in or near the slot and mostly standing still.

I’m here and close. It’s your opinion but I’d say it looked very different to me in terms of Bratt and Hischier.
