I've been playing that hockey video game Tape to Tape (currently in Early Access on Steam, basically a non-licensed, roguelike NHL '94), and one of the power-ups is something like "Each Player on Your Team Gets -25 Overall Stats in the 1st Period, +0 Overall Stats in the 2nd Period, and +50 Overall Stats in the 3rd Period."
