Anze Kopitar was -6 against the Sabres in a 7-0 drubbing last night.

Without getting into the relevance of that particular stat, as a point of interest what is the worst number you can recall from a player on the team that you follow?

Anyone know the all-time record?

No, but he was almost as good as Coffey.

Ask Karlsson.

Just wanna point out how funny it is that the hapless Sabres are the ones to make Kopitar look bad. Fantastic defensive center vs. a team who can’t score and can’t defend, weird outcome.

Anyways- this is kinda the risk of going for that coaching change bump, Kings just looked lost and frustrated.

Wow. Kopitar's washed.

LA should trade him to the Wings for a bag of pucks so he can be our 2c for the rest of the season.

Like, immediately please?

We'll even throw in Holl.

I know you’re joking, but this kings fan would trade Kopitar and Doughty both immediately if it were feasible.

As long as no large salary is coming back, I could give a shit less what the return is too.

I remember the Karlsson -6 night. And it was a true -6 night not just being on the ice for 6 goals against, it was just continual terrible play and lack of effort by him that led to all 6 goals. He may not be a defensive juggernaught, but I had never seen him that far off his game.

Its an anomaly for sure, but Anze has clearly lost a couple of steps this season. I have been plenty critical of Kopitar about a few specific issues over the years, but this is an extraordinary single night stat worthy of reminiscing in what has been a stellar career of sheer, responsible hockey.

And our GM signed him to a two year, 35+ extension at $7 million per season instead of going year by year. Time catches up with everyone, but dumb decisions are timeless.
