Tukonen shouldn't have a chance. The guy had 10 points in 43 games in the SM-liiga... The sky is the limit for his potential, but right now, if he makes the NHL and does good... I'd be very surprised.

Frolov is already on the team. As it stands right now only 1 or 2 spots remain fron young guys. From what kings fans in manchester have said grebs would have to have a killer camp to make the team look for him to spend the season in manchester to start. Brown will get a good look as he was on the roster the last season. Tamb will get a good look as will tukonen but it wouldnt suprsie me to see both in manchester to start.

Can't wait for the Monarchs to start. LA is one heck of an organization with regards to prospects and there is always awesome hockey and spectacular young players to watch. Drop the puck.

We weren't always like this you know. It's such a refreshing change to actually have some good home grown talent.

Training camp will be lots of fun to watch with all those great 1st rounders fighting for a spot. There will also be some other young players who are worth a look. Some wingers in Konstantin Pushkarev, Dany Roussin, Petr Kanko and Richard Petiot on defence. Goaltenders Ryan Munce, Barry Brust and Yutaka Fukufuji will be tested in camp as well. These young players will most likely be with Manchester for the upcoming season, but are all a part of the Kings future.

if the kid outplays people, i dont see why a organization wouldnt let him atleast start. If he outplays somehow guys like brown, tambs or frolov even in certain things, id give him a shot, got nothing to loose

If a guy who isn't even established on any senior level outplays people for an NHL job, the depth must be awful.

Er what do you mean by home grown?
Talent that was drafted by the Kings and brought up through their farm system

In my opinion the NHL has no homegrown talent :)

since IMO homegrown talent is such that is with his first organization still.

For Tukonen IE this is his third team.

or since the league was filled with a few NHLers, he was pushed around because of how young he is. If he establishes himself over here quickly, why not throw him up?

So from what you are saying is that if Crosby makes the Pens, which from all accounts is a given, the Pens forward depth is terrible?

Which NHLers challenged Lauri Tukonen from the already good ice time he had?

The finnish junior league is quite different from the QMJHL.

With AM it is never a lock. Cammy could net 40 goals and be sent down because Murray doesnt think he has NHL size.

That's not exactly right. AM doesn't care about their size, and that's the problem. You can't send a 5'8 guy to do a 6'4 man's job. Murray has this almost communist mentality when it comes to coaching; everyone is expected to do everything regardless of their size or abilites.
