I can assure you that Kopitar goal is to play on opening night. He probably wont play his usual top minutes and he'll probably wont play on PK but he'll be there and contribute...

I really hope they decide to take it easy with Kopi. Would much rather have him miss the first two weeks of the season and get back to 100% than risk re-injury.

Lombardy said report from Sweden was right, so you can assume that from his injury (five days ago).

I would rather Kopitar wait till he is 100%. No reason to throw the guys career away for 48 games.

Jeff Carter is more than capable of playing 1st line center.

Great news. I just hope he doesn't come back too early. I would much rather him miss 3-5 games than to miss 20 from coming back too soon...

Based on this video after yesterdays practise, if Kopi alone would decide regarding to play or not to play on Saturday, he would play. Doctors will have final word...

Our center depth is insane, so I would not worry about having him play in the opener. Let him heal 100% and have Carter and Richards center the first 2 lines for a couple games. We are prepared to handle an injury like this. I'm much more concerned about what will happen with Mitchell out.
