He’s already replaced Jake.Thought he looked alright last night.
He could easily replace what Gaudette brought to the table.
He’s already replaced Jake.
Lind 17:40 ice time and moved up
Jake 13:10 ice time and moved down
Lind is way smarter, and Green already trusts him more than Jake.
2nd round is a later round pick?Right now the bar is set so low for depth forwards on the Canucks, Lind doesn't have to do too much to stick around.
We're at the point now where some of the Canucks later round picks like Lind and Gadjovich have to start cracking the lineup if the Canucks have any hope of ever improving.
Promoting with within is light years better than the plethora of waiver wire pickups; overpaid veterans on the serious downside of their careers; and small, speedy and injury-prone wingers; who currently populate the Canucks bottom-six.
If there's any chance that Podkolzin, Lind and Gadjovich could come in and win spots earning somewhere around 'entry-level' money, it would go a long way to easing the Canucks cap crunch.

The expectation for Lind based on reports about his AHL play should be a smart player who positions himself well on offense but that may lack the physicality needed to carve out a true NHL role.
If the offense is there he could be that PP specialist you carry on your 3rd line and use to spark your top-6 when somebody is cold. If it isn't I feel like Lind will plateau as a guy that lights up the AHL but can't find room on an NHL roster.
Why does this feel depressingly common of a good chunk of our hopeful prospects beyond podkolzin. If the offense is there he could be that PP specialist you carry on your 3rd line and use to spark your top-6 when somebody is cold. I hope he develops Wellwood's hands and faceoff abilities. If Lind can do that I'll be thrilled.you're saying he's a wellwood?
This is what happens when you draft skilled players who might not have plus-level physical tools. That said, guys like Lockwood, Gadjovich, and Costmar don't entirely fit that mold. Plus, the NHL is moving towards skilled 3rd/4th lines that can go mostly even and pot a few goals. Why does this feel depressingly common of a good chunk of our hopeful prospects beyond podkolzin.
I just hope he turns out better than Hague since a bunch ofus were wanting the latter on draft day
Too bad you guys didn't get your way on draft day because the chances of Lind > Hague seem mighty slim.
