Call the entire Eagles up, let the boys get as healthy as possible
Yup, there is like very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very little chance of catching Dallas for the 2nd place in central. We need to win out, while Dallas loses out, and let’s face it, it ain’t happening.

Time to rest some players.

Did you miss the second period?

We had more shots that period than Vegas had the entire regulation game.
I'm with Chet, that was a horrible game to watch. Two teams just resting players for the playoffs. Vegas came to play to lose and somehow came out of it with a point. Successful away game starting your 3rd starter (even though Akira is a million times better than Samsonov IMO).

Both teams were banged up to hell, hope whatever was bothering Lindgren doesn’t become a thing.

Anyway, another goddamned shootout, but hey they got the extra point so that’s nice. I may jinx him but except for that one really bad missed pass in OT, I think LOC has been playing really well.

Did not like Cale in this game. Could not manage the puck to save his life.

Just got home from the game. f***in hell that first period was rough to watch live. Please for the love of god someone stop bednar from trying to make Brock on PP1 and the shootout work. Simply move on.

Random Kiwi fan here. Came to the game tonight with a buddy. Have to agree. The first period, there were a lot of voices out of the crowd asking "what the f*** are you doing?" Second period was better but it looked like two teams coasting into the playoffs.

Wedgewood and Schmid both played well.

Did anybody got hurt? No, good thing. And the best thing to happen for the remaining, meaningless games.....

The last game Makar, Mac, Toews should play is against Vancouver. After that, rest them. They can make the trip to California for the weekend, do some sightseeing or visit disney land in Anaheim.......

The playoffs are allready set... Its only between Minnesota and Calgary who comes in as the 8th seed and waste 8 days......

At game. Am cutting Cale some slack.., he stepped up here and there which usually ended as a cf, like trying to split the D and went headlong into a 3rd VGK which looked like wtf are you doing cale crazy? But he was just trying to spark the sleep walking team. Right before that he had a superb ankle breaker that was showtime great. Trying to get team heads out of their arse.

Didn't even know Nelson was playing until the shoot out lol.

Another pathetic win if you'd ask me. Shots were almost double, but absolutely zero depth scoring. These guys gotta get going.

E: Depth might be wrong word, second line I meant.
Nelson is a ghost.

Bow down to Charlie Coyle.

View attachment 1009733

Another very good all around game showing that untapped skill from Coyle.

Two apples, heavy on pucks down low, good hustle, good puck battles, some big face-off wins, great on the PK, and another great goalscorers shot to win it in the SO.

Can't wait to see him in the playoffs, hopefully with Landy.

Some guys still lacking execution, but a good effort in the second and third, while missing players.

ESPN and Steve Levy admitting his pre written narrative about praising Vegas because of their injuries can suck it.

Home, took it out. It bobbles correctly. First thing my missus said, impressed, was “This is like a professional bobble head.”

A professional bobble head? I had no response.

Further examination tho, it looks 90% like Nate and 5% still not like Cale. Got # right. Did note that the little stick had a curve on it tho. Props/ And it’s a pretty hefy hunk of whatever it’s made of… profession bobble head material I guess. So whomever sent this off to China for replication, they sent a pic of Nate but mebbe got Cale’s P88 curve right.

Nice to See Makar with nearly 30 minutes. Have to make sure he has his legs moving before playoffs.
I said before the game that we might as well just rest Makar and MacKinnon at this point, when 1 point clinches the third spot of the division. That is even more true now. The only way the Avs are going to move up in the standings is if the Stars go 0-4 and the Avs go 3-0. Highly unlikely. We are third in the Central, that is set.

Rest anyone that needs it.

Loved how Karlsson havent scored in 24 games or so.... but here he would hit perfect top shelf from an angle. just because. Would not have it any other way.

People keep saying we should rest players but we have nearly a week off after our season ends before the playoffs. I don't think Cale needs like 9 or 10 days rest.

I agree.

I wouldn't be resting guys just to not play. I would only sit players if they have absolutely ANY type of niggle or tweak or anything wrong. There's no reason to play through something right now.

That is likely what is happening with some of Necas, Drouin, Colton, Girard, and Manson. If these games mattered, most of them would probably play, but there's no need to force or risk anything.

We'll have 6 days in between games if we start on the 19th. Ferraro on the broadcast yesterday said the Avs will be practicing 3 times during that week off, meaning once every two days. Lots of time to rest up.
