Kupari might be, but LA's right side is packed with solid players and prospects. Doughty, Roy, Durzi, Clarke, Faber, Grans, Spence, etc.

Klingberg's has shown frustration, and is an expiring UFA so he won't get a Turcotte or Clarke.

He never really has , but I think he’s a better option at rd than most of the prospects if they are wanting to win now .
He plays the wrong side and is too old to be a fit, unless he's a rental but the Kings should not be trading major assets for rentals at this point of the rebuild.
0 interest in Klingberg. Kings don't need anymore RD. Also given the shitty attitude he's shown in Dallas that's not a guy I'd want to commit to long term anyway. Let someone else overpay

You mean management doesn't wanna tie up a bunch of cap space in a player who will be declining by halfway thru that contract at best? Shocking

He's already declining, for the reasons stated earlier.
If Dallas has soured on him, which seems to be the case, then it's hardly a surprise that the feeling would be mutual.
That said, Klingberg was quick to refute the initial claim that he'd asked for a trade.
He's just frustrated, as most Stars fans are, with the way things are going for this team. Under a new contract/team/coach/system of play, I bet we'd see a clear improvement from him.

No interest. Need a big physical left side presence. Doughty is back, Roy looks more like his old self and Durzi has impressed. Walker back next year and prospect cupboard is loaded on the right side

I actually thought LA had send the message already that they are done rebuilding and ready to win now.
Does this message means that Kings now are interested in trading their best prospects for all old not needed players from other teams?
P.S. The rest of NHL is ready to jump on this opportunity.
While he isn't exactly old he is still too old to be desirable target for a rebuilding team. Especially one that already has a veteran #1 RD.
That'd be a lot of money tied up between two RD between Doughty/Klingberg. As others said, LA's probably more on the hunt for a LD.

LA is I no place to be trading for soon to be UFA. And should have no interest in any RD as the team and system is loaded at that position.

This thread feels weird. Top 4 dynamic RD available, the rarest position in the NHL arguably, and the other team (LA) is saying we have too many RD already. Where's Oprah?
Personally I think we in LA make some decent progress this year and bring in the LD next year, either in the off-season for cheap or for UFA and also try out some of our pipeline LD.
Unless we get a young gem of a player like a Chychrun for the right price, I think we just take it easy for this year...now come playoff time next year if we still are missing that giant piece, we may have to trade significant assets both for the playoffs next year and for long term as well. For this year we are likely to hit our goal of playoffs and significant upward progress without dealing a chunk of the farm or making any huge commitments in futures.

I agree with my fellow Kings fans. The Kings are set at RD. Klingberg hasn't played LD and is a pending UFA.

Klingberg is a very good player, however, I don’t think rentals would return that level of a prospect you’re looking at. Probably a first, decent prospect and possibly a conditional pick or just a 2nd is what I’d imagine Kliingberg would return
