Not interested. He wasn't very good anymore before he signed with the Leafs before. He was terrible in the handful of games he did play here. Then he's been injured and out of routine/practice for a long time since.

If he wants to join the team for league minimum, knowing he'll have to work up from the AHL? Sure. Depth is never a bad thing. But if he wants more money, bonuses, or an NHL spot? Nope. Not interested.

Dallas runs a pretty tight ship and offered him 60 some milly a few years back. Nobody knows what condition he is in, except maybe a few doing the due diligence up close. Perhaps the odds aren't great but it's just wild speculation being thrown around.

I'd like to think Leafs got first dibs and looked at it and decided it wasn't there. So it's a good thing he's on the Oilers now.
