Proposal: Klefbom at 50% for Pokka+Gustafsson+

EDM: Ville Pokka, Erik Gustafsson, one more player (choice of: TVR, Gustav Forsling, Michal Kempny, or Ryan Hartman)

Chicago is willing to pay handsomely for seven years of a cost-controlled top-4 defenseman.

Edmonton sacrifices a little quality in exchange for quantity. Pokka, Gustafsson, Kempny, and TVR are all at least bottom-pairing right now; Pokka, Forsling, and Kempny could turn out to be a top-4 defenseman.

I'm pretty sure both fanbases will hate this proposal, but we'll see.

This is beyond terrible for the oilers.

We dont need to do a quality for quantity trade.

I'm pretty sure you made this post to get an uproar from both teams fans.
 
This is one of the worst proposals I've seen lately. This is absolutely terrible in value for Edmonton.

Klefbom is a 23 year old top 4 defenceman. On a 7 year 2 million dollar contract makes him worth a lot more than a few not-elite prospects
 
So, we're retaining on our best/second best defenseman who is definitely a 2D right now for a bunch of bottom pairing guys?
 
It looks like there once again is no room for Pokka in Chicago with Kempny, Rozsival, and TVR ahead of him for a bottom-pairing spot. The Oilers (and other teams) can just wait a see if Pokka becomes disgruntled about having to report to Rockford again.

he doesn;t get paid 2 million dollars a year. It's something liek 3.5 or 4. But the deal is terrible for the oilers.

That's not Chicago paying handsomely. There's no way Edmonton does that deal. Like at all.

Klefbom was a #3, possibly a #2 that was trending up very well. Not interested in bottom-pairing defenseman who may or may not become top four defenseman.

Oilers are not trading klefbom and they are certainly not retaining on one of their top pairing dmen.

He's a borderline 2, making EDM retain 50% is adding insult to injury. You don't get a top pairing potential guy signed for 2 million for that crap
 
Can you imagine Edmonton paying half of Kelfbom's salary for the next 7 years only to have him not play on their team haha. This proposal is so so sooooo bad.

He's a #3/2 dman currently. Thing is our biggest need is on D, so why would we trade one of our best D for prospects? Especially when we have Nurse and Reinhart who are both better than Pokka waiting in the AHL. Only way we trade Klef is for an upgrade on D.
