Kitchener Rangers 2024-25 Season Thread, Part III

Another good period for the Ranger reps at the Prospects game. Missile with a Missile, and Reid another helper. Romano all over the ice, playing well at both ends. This Brantford announcer likes to yell a lot. Even when he was interviewing the commish, he was loud.
Let’s get out of this with nobody hurt.

Might it be asking a lot for a goalie to come from wherever in the country at the halfway point of the season, to Kitchener, where he’d be lucky to get six or seven starts the rest of the season?

Likely a long term play for future seasons (next season when Parsons graduates). Keep him protected and work to get him here in the fall

Only Up , was the source of what was mentioned pertaining to an import goalie credible of just a fan that heard something also and passed it along? Can't find any information on this anywhere. Not saying it won't happened. When we had seasons tickets other fans would tell us about rumours of something pending only to find out the source was posters on HF speculating. :)

Definitely creditable! It’s not Joe Blow in his basement who’s just trying to speak something into reality :laugh:

Only Import Goalies I see on W or Q rosters are:
Portland - Štěbeták, Ondrej
Regina - Huet, Ewan
Tri-City Matecha, Lukas
Acadie-Bathurst - Vecvanags, Mikus
Cape Breton - Milota, Jakub
Sherbrooke - Feldbergs, Linards

Didnt do the O, could still be a waiver claim but Erdliden and Medvedev are the only ones I know that are not going anywhere I would think.

If this is somewhat reliable......
I dont see it being Feldbergs, Sherbrooke is in the hunt.

In the W, Portland and Tri-City are fighting for home ice as well.

Unless I missed one or there is an Import Goalie not currently listed on the teams websites for rosters, that would leave Huet, Vecvanags or Milota.

Huet a 2005 - 3-6-1-0 GAA 4.68 SV% 0.869
Milota a 2006 - 3.04 GAA SV% 0.907
Vecvanags a 2006 - 5.00 GAA SV% 0.861

Unless it is someone on a protected list that hasnt come over yet.

Not sure on all the details on Medvedev, but while it appears he was born in Russia he was in the OHL draft, so probably is considered a Canadian.

Was a goalie who hasn't come to NA yet so wouldn't be on any current CHL roster. Younger high-end guy apparently.

Medvedev is a non-import as someone else as mentioned.

my mistake on Medvedev....
Happy its not one of the above mentioned. Only Milota's numbers look appealing from the list above.
Will have to see if it happens...thanks for info on what you have.
