Zayne Parekh with a dirty cheap shot right at the end after Saginaw already won. Classless player.
And 2 missed breakaways.Coach never seem to pleased in his interview post game. Reid had a great game. Arquette was flying the whole game. Rangers directed a bunch of shots right into Oke's pads. He had those angles covered well. Rangers have to get more from the top two lines going forward into the 2nd half.
He's still growing and learning. Leaving the play to get his stick on that 3rd Saggy goal was a bad decision. Normally, a defenceman would stay with the play and maybe get a loaner from one of the forwards.Cameron Read is consistently improving with each passing shift. He is truly exceptional.
At this point in time Lam is the best play maker on the team IMHO.Nice dangle by Lam on that 2nd goal.
Catching the Knights is a pipe dream for the team and coaches unless the Rangers find a way to start putting up more offense. The Rangers were lucky to have players fall into their laps recently. I was surprised they automatically garnered a spot on the top line without really seeing how they would perform. Rangers seem to be more offensive a while back. I wonder if Jussi wants the squad to play a more defensive system with the vision of offense coming later. Rangers GA is the best in the league tied with the Knights. GF is lacking and needs to be increased. Hopefully Jussi finds a combo that starts clicking 5 on 5. The power play needs work also. It's about 12th in the league.Rangers are going to need a bit more from their top two lines going forward. I understand it’s new line combos and all but if we don’t get them sorted sooner rather than later I’m concerned we could tail off slightly not unlike the second half last year where there was an ugly stretch of very few wins (lost 6 out of eight or something even worse iirc). I know the team and coaches want to think we can catch London but I don’t for see that happening. I think they should concentrate on getting the lines gelling, not burning out our star goalie and trying to stay as relatively heathy as possible.
Shocked Parekh only got 2 minutes for that dirty shot. They team should sent a tape into the league. Looked like his elbow was right up by Ellinas's head. Maybe they looked at a it from another angle and saw something different. When Parekh is at the scene of a crime he is usually involved.Zayne Parekh with a dirty cheap shot right at the end after Saginaw already won. Classless player.
I understand what you mean, bobber. Would it be better for them to focus on the Rangers instead of the Knights. They are currently on a progression path, acquiring knowledge and advancing as a team with each passing game, and will emerge as a significantly more formidable team come spring series. I an sure MM and his staff have a handle on these issues and are working on them.
I think we as Ranger posters are more focused on the Knights than the actual Rangers are. Jussi has a system in place that he used previously. I think he has a goal in mind of what the team should accomplish going into the 2nd half. One thing that stands out is he never seems satisfied with all aspects of a game even when they win. He calls the players young boys or something along that line indicating he has a great grasp of the skill level of players in this age group. Seems to take things one game at a time.I understand what you mean, bobber. Would it be better for them to focus on the Rangers instead of the Knights. Small point of clarity: Parekh wasn’t assessed any penalty at the end of the game (at least it’s not listed on the game summary. I could be wrong). His roughing minor was in the 3rd, which you are referencing. OP was talking about Parekh getting his hands in Lam’s face after the winning goal.Shocked Parekh only got 2 minutes for that dirty shot. Oh I surely agree here, we fans have the tendency to be way ahead of our teams.I think we as Ranger posters are more focused on the Knights than the actual Rangers are. I think he needs to cut it out. But he’s far from the first teenager with an attitude.Kingpin , you are saying what most fans in the OHL think. Parekh is a dink?
Regardless of Parekh's "teenage attitude" there really is no excuse when he goes out of his way to purposedly injure an opposing player. There is no getting around the fact the hit was dirty. His rep follows him around. Talented kid with an Achilles heel.I think he needs to cut it out. But he’s far from the first teenager with an attitude.
I would say there’s a hard line between delivering boneheaded hits/letting your emotions get the better of you and intentionally trying to injure someone. Parekh does bone headed things, takes ill advised hits/late hits, and is just a troll in general. Now the Boulton brothers are out there to injure. Intentionally.Regardless of Parekh's "teenage attitude" there really is no excuse when he goes out of his way to purposedly injure an opposing player. I thought I saw/heard it clip off a stick stick but I was sitting up in the corner of the reds on that side so I may have misheard it. Surprised it wasn't called though when the linesman there immediately called for it.Delay of game directly in front of me. Completely botched that call as I could see. Would need a replay to convince me otherwise.
