Kitchener Rangers 2024-25 Season Thread, Part III

Excellent defensive game by the Rangers last night. Controlled the neutral zone for most of this game. Colts managed some excellent scoring chances a few times but Parsons made incredible saves stopping them. One thing of note is the Rangers are tied for the leagues best goals against at 105 with the Knights. They would even be more successful if they could get that GF bumped up.
Jussi got them off to a better start last night.

Really interested to see if Schaubel gets the start today. Would say really good chance he does but if he doesn’t, have to wonder if there’s something brewing to keep him under 10 games still.

Very true. There is zero reason to play your starting goalie 3 days in a row. The back up has to take one of those games.

The Sale watch is back on too….he didn’t play last night.

Valetini with a hat trick last night.

Agree with Jives. Schaubel should start today. If he doesn’t, it’s a blatant attempt to keep him under 10 games until the last possible minute.

It’s def not ideal to run Parsons out there again tonight. He wasn’t overly taxed last night but I think you run the risk of injury trotting him out again this evening. Now if he does play this evening I think we have to start wondering if there is something else going on in the background. Sale is an interesting one. I think he would be a great addition if we get the player that I saw at the WJC. It would just stretch out our lineup even that much more. It would def be a great coup.

We have room for Sale without restricting Schaubel’s GP. Holding Schaubel back means to me that MM is holding out until the last minute in the event an 08 flyer reports.

Rangers look tired, but that's no excuse for the refs to be this bad. Yeesh. Saginaw doesn't score their 3rd goal without slashing the Ds stick out of their hands. And the missed delay of game too. Tough break.

Coach never seem to pleased in his interview post game. Reid had a great game. Arquette was flying the whole game. Rangers directed a bunch of shots right into Oke's pads. He had those angles covered well. Rangers have to get more from the top two lines going forward into the 2nd half.

Parsons getting big minutes. Trying to keep up with London and Windsor? Parsons is a work horse but you gotta give your BUG some reps.

Rangers upcoming schedule is spaced out fairly well so Parsons might not sit for a while. Hope it doesn't wind up getting him hurt. Been one of my favourite tenders since he joined the Rangers.
