Headrick was fun to watch tonight. Even stood up Edwards at the blue line
Headrick is small compared to the rest of the team but he is fast, highly skilled, and fearless. He thinks nothing of getting in the crease and scrapping with the big D. He is well-protected by his team mates and knows how to avoid the big guys when needed. His energy and attitude is infectious.

OHL needs to review video on this outbreak and there's a lot of video out there. Swinging your stick and hitting the ref won't go over well. Ando laying on the ice and being gang punched by two Otters should also get some consideration. Sucker punch also needs a long look because it started it all.

Will the OHL sweep it under the carpet and move on?......

That’s where he differs from Lam.

We’ve seen 08’s like Bilecki and seemingly Xu move ahead of 07’s like Schneider and MacNiel on the depth chart. How long until Headrick moves ahead of Lam?

I would argue that Ando was instigated upon. He was in the scrum but it was an Otter who started throwing at him before he engaged.

And at what cost? I’ve heard he’s great as a person off the ice, but on the ice he’s awful. I’ve never enjoyed him in all his junior years.
Are you saying the Otters have the market cornered on halos? I saw and Otter player almost whack a ref in the back with his stick when the scrum started. Sore loser syndrome. Henry was cheap shotting the smaller Rangers players like Headrick. What a hero. Stan Butler hockey.

I would like to see the actual video of him hitting the ref. It didn’t look intentional and Fimis isn’t that type of player.

Royston will get a few games. I wouldn’t be surprised if Stan Butler gets a few.

Rangers weren’t exactly innocent either and a few will likely also be suspended.

But this is also the OHL and more work might strain them.

I mean when you’re only 5’7” 150lbs, what do you expect? You’re going to get thrown around.

The whacks all started when Swick started slashing. We retaliated from that point.

Royston sucker punch was not necessary.

It seemed to start when as time ran out, the Erie player shot the puck down the ice but the puck hit a Ranger. Rangers took exception. I do believe that Swick issued the first slash but Fimis’ slashes were much worse and more dangerous.

Farwell said that he was sent a video that showed that Fimis did not make contact with the ref with one of his slashes.

We (on the stream) saw the puck being sent down, but never saw it hit a Ranger. It looked like a simple clear which I wish they would’ve panned over to get the whole picture.

It didn’t look like he hit the ref as the ref had no reflexes. It doesn’t excuse his part of the scrum.

The refs really didn’t have control over the game. They let a lot go after whistles. Both teams will see suspensions and I’m surprised they didn’t add more players to the game summary.

Not sure if you are talking about Swick or Fimis here?
If it’s Swick, his job isn’t to be enamoured by rival fans, so thank you for that comment.
If you were talking about Fimis, we are on the same page. All he did all night was dive and chirp, never got engaged, except with his stick. His only attempt to fight Swick came when the refs got in the middle. What a champ.
I think the refs are to blame for much of this. There is a still at the beginning of this mess where they are in the middle of about 10 players at centre ice. They needed to keep those players separated and widen that gap and diffuse the situation.
As for the hockey….the smurfs took over. Started when Edwards tried to hit Headrick and ended up on his back. And what a snipe by Arquette, beating Erlinder from distance.
An important 2 points to strengthen our hold on 3rd place in the conference. Now we wait to see at what cost in terms of suspensions.

The puck got sent down, but it was shot hard enough to get to the other end of the ice. But you can see the puck bouncing around in the centre ice area. I assume it hit a Ranger player which caused them to take issue.

So your saying both sides where slashing then. From my point of view on the couch both sides had sticks flailing around. There were no Saints out there when I was watching unless I missed something? 6'4" Henry went after 5'7" Headrick , Arquette and Lam. OHL tough guy. In the end Headrick had two points along with the Rangers. Likely be suspensions.

It was in reference to Swick. He’s competitive and has that edge to his game where he gets under the other players skin.

I agree that the refs were to blame. Why was one ref skating around with just Messier? His bigger concern was controlling the rest of the scrum. The refs should be reviewed for their lack of control.

I wish we would’ve had a view of the coaches reactions. Did either side make effort to get their teams off the ice? I haven’t watched any video to really know.

I agree with you. Both teams are at fault.

Both teams exchanged slashes and punches. Both sides will get suspensions which hopefully will be posted today given we play tonight.
