Could be a holdup on hockey Canada side.
Could also be signed and just not posted, Might want to wait till before the game tomorrow.
JB mentioned he was headed back to Ontario on Monday.

No problem Fastpace. It's the players chirping on the ice that have to deal with it if they get caught saying something that is considered offense in this day and age. Personally I love the on ice chirping. Gets the crowd into the game and puts a bit of character into it as well. I have too much Irish in me to be canonized as a Saint.

I am somewhat of the same mold, my friend, but I fear what happens on the ice is spilling into the stand and in public avenues(forums), they are changing the very game we so much love to support

So... Not sure the BCHL has a leg to stand on. But why would they rush it?
Wait until the USA is asked to release a kid. Lol...not sure they would this season at all. Certainly not after December 31st.

They are going to push kids down to make headroom for the NCAA dreamers! Really sad to not develop them. Again the prefered theory is to rotate not develop!!!! Cheaper that way!

Sorry FP has meandered over here. I apologize on behalf of all London fans.

Well, Rangers and Knights are very close in total championships. London has had more recent success but the trade off was the first few decades were mostly miserable.

I have family in the Waterloo region so hoping to catch a game or two at the Aud this year. Still a great rink with a great fanbase. Kitchener will be laughing the most when these NCAA recruits start showing up.

Enjoy the season. Good luck the rest of the way.

Then trade for a second import player. The market on imports is usually pretty low at the deadline. Most teams are set. Kitchener doesn’t even need an impactful player but one who could be a productive addition for cheap to offset dealing Swick and Andonovski out.

Then trade Bottineau for any return that you can. At 18 he has really not improved much since last year and is still a fourth line player. Nothing against him but some younger player I would rather give that ice time to.

I agree on Andonovski and Swick.

Not so much on trading for an import. They come cheap but for one of any significance, he’ll cost something. And, would we have to release the rights to one of Pobezal or Chrenko? If so, hard no.

As for Bottineau, he brings close to the same as Mercer and is a year younger.

I don’t see Mercer in the mix as an OA next year but Bottineau will be back to play those dirty minutes on the PK, etc.

I’d move out Mercer and keep Bottineau. I think Grisiola has made Mercer expendable.

No trade market in the near future. Make no mistake MM is on the hunt for another run! Playoffs means better business. End of story.

Can anyone on here confirm that Kitchener has submitted a legitimate bid for 2027? I doubt that anyone can. It isn't financially feasible! Sorry folks it ain't happening.

From a Josh Brown article from 2022:
But the franchise is keen on taking a stab at the junior hockey event the next time OHL teams can host in 2027.
“When we really analyzed it, the timing is just not right, right now,” said Rangers chief operating officer Joe Birch. “What we really want to concentrate on is this season and then really dig in and focus on the 2027 bid.”

Another mention from March for this year in another Josh Brown article:
“I think we’ll have a team that will put us in a position to make a bid for that (Memorial Cup),” said Birch.

Nothing officially official cause you can't make a formal bid yet but I would be shocked if they didn't.

I don't believe 2027 Memorial Cup bids are formally submitted until next season.

I'm curious why you don't think it's financially feasible?

They might be remembering the last time it came up, as the financial want from the CHL would be hard for a team that is community owned.

Josh Brown wrote about it in 2018
