No Connor Hasley (G) and Declan McDonnell
McDonnell not being there is a bit worrysome for me. Was a high pick. Very good player.

not shocked as he committed to providence college after being selected and attending spring camp
Ill be at training camp all week. Will even pop in tonight so if you have questions about players, let me know!
Won't be able to make any of the scrimmages or practises this week so I'm looking forward to hearing a rundown of how the players look. Especially the new hopefuls. Thanks in advance!
No problem!
Ill try to get a little bit on everybody and keep you posted!
Desmond looked okay. Shoot 1st kind of guy. Skates decent. Would like to see more of him.
What you see is what you get, and based on what you said, you have seen everything already. No need to see more. Long shot to make team IMHO.
Not surprising given the dearth of STH that passed on playoff tickets in a strong 'up' year, perhaps. Scuttlebutt was that STH renewals were off ... I saw several high red pairs+ and even some corner gold pairs + threes avail & LOTS of blues in the avail seat selector. There was a sign outside of section 8 at the aud. 86 Season Tickets will be available to the public 1 week today. Guess there is no more house warming list.
I saw that too but he caught my eye a couple times too with speed and hustle in the attack/defend drills as well. Potentially an effective future OHL defender ... hopefully he just needs to get fired up after a couple hits in the game scenarios!Arber Xhekaj didn't have a good 1st showing with the team. In the drills he was kind of being a bone head.

Liked what i've seen so far from Alex Peterson,
I want to say I am shocked because the house warming list used to be quite long. I said on twitter that this fan base might just be evolving as did another fan. Older generation are moving on and thats why so many opened. Also when I talked to the guy I bought my ST off for the year, I guess that the only financial savings (Not including perks) you save is like a buck a ticket. Almost no point in having them.
PS- Had to skip out on the morning scrimmage last minute. Was going to attend with wife and baby but
Wife and Baby where sleeping and didn't want to bother them.
White Team all but demolished Red Team. 5-2 and that 2nd red goal was a breakaway by Valade and a sweet goal on Baier (who was pretty solid the whole game).
White Team D...........Hall (looked great!).....Gentles...........and York. Macpherson.....steady not flashy.
Forwards.......gotta love Langdon and Tresoor. Holmes impressed.....works hard and doesn't let up. Reminds me of Damiani (who also had a breakaway goal and blew it past Pfeil) An article here on Holmes: Holmes staying home - Welcome to Hockey News North
Red Team D.....Vuks ( wow doesn't do it)......Peterson (the D who didn't get to play last year....hmmm).....and Sebrango....ok, he lived up to the hype. Looking forward to seeing him up against some older more experienced players. There was a Matt York.......Jack's brother. Vancouver had the Sedin brothers...we could have the York brothers.
Forwards.....Serpa impressed. He has speed, good hands, and moves. I liked him before and I still like him now. Valade.....he's going to be special on offense..no doubt. Desmond has speed and stood out when he was on the ice. Guest was roaring around and making plays today. London's loss and certainly, Kitchener's gain.
Training Camp Scrimmage Results: Day 1 – Kitchener Rangers
Of course, our regulars were there except for Hugg (although just playing in Sweden, JB reports that he's here).......and no Petizian....who JB also reports is here and fit as a fiddle.
I'll catch the 3rd game tomorrow.
I'm interested to see which non roster players they will carry with them into the showcase this weekend. there doesn't seem to be a huge gap between all of them so there's lots up for grabs
I can see a few reasons STH are down.
1. There are always seats available since the expansion.
2. Since there are always seats available why not skip the games that are dogs or on a day you have something better to do? If there is a bottom feeder from the east conference (or even west for that matter) and I have something to do, I'm skipping that game. Could be anything from a family event to watching an NFL game on the tube.
3. A lot of people perceive that they are being taken for granted. No more seniors prices for example. It's the Rangers prerogative to make these decisions; it's the fans choice to react negatively. Also no early bird discount for renewing early or a discount for longevity.
4. It's not that great of a deal anymore unless you attend almost all of the games. It's a catch 22 - do you give STH a bigger discount or risk killing walk up sales by raising prices for single games?
5. Playoff tickets are always available; you don't need a season ticket to make sure you can get in.
6. Quite frankly the hockey hasn't been great entertainment in recent years. Last year we hopefully turned the corner - time will tell.
