Yes the same who would still not be traded for PLD.Is this the same Kirby Dach who was untouchable in a PLD trade becaue he was destined for the HHOF?
More like, no one sane would trade positive value assets for an overpaid bitch like Dubois. That doesn’t make Dach untouchable, though. Is this the same Kirby Dach who was untouchable in a PLD trade becaue he was destined for the HHOF?
You mean the PLD who ended up being a cap dump less than a year after his acquisition? If so, then yes, it’s the same Kirby DachIs this the same Kirby Dach who was untouchable in a PLD trade becaue he was destined for the HHOF?
Yeah, the guy who has 45 more points than Dach over last season and this season because getting hit with a light breeze doesn't put him on IR for the seasonYou mean the PLD who ended up being a cap dump less than a year after his acquisition? If so, then yes, it’s the same Kirby Dach
Dach played a game and a half.Yeah, the guy who has 45 more points than Dach over last season and this season because getting hit with a light breeze doesn't put him on IR for the season
Exactly (to the bolded). The guy is a walking bandaidDach played a game and a half.
Also, if I remember properly, you were one of biggest Dach fanboy at the time and expressed multiple times that he NEEDED to be added to any deals including PLD.
Weren’t you also the biggest Laine fanboy ever telling everyone how he is easily a top 5 winger in the league then started sh*tting on him the second he left Winnipeg?
We have a name for those kind of people here. I’m sure you can figured it out what it is
The hyperbole is strong in this one.Is this the same Kirby Dach who was untouchable in a PLD trade becaue he was destined for the HHOF?
How would that have worked out for Winnipeg if Dach can’t stay healthy as you previously said?Exactly (to the bolded). The guy is a walking bandaid
Yes, I was pushing for Dach in a PLD trade. I still think it would have worked out well for both sides (thus my comment in this thread - I found it ironic that a Habs poster wants to move him)
No, I'm not that Laine guy
So take your word (whatever it is) and apply it to someone else
Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy your perpetual rebuild. Maybe someday it will get better for Habs fans
Davidson sure didn't think he was impossible to replace and I imagine you and Hughes won't think so either by the time he's an RFA, if not soonerThe entire Habs team isn’t doing well. Dach on the block would return a ton for the Habs. Not seeing them doing that though. He’d be impossible to replace.
We ended up with Vilardi, who is another bandaid - so it would have been equivalent lolHow would that have worked out for Winnipeg if Dach can’t stay healthy as you previously said?
Also, Habs are in year 3 of a rebuild. Not sure where you’re going with your perpetual rebuild but we both know where they’re headed and it’s to a bright future whether you want to admit it or not
I'm just repeating what I was told by Habs fans a couple of years agoThe hyperbole is strong in this one.
It really ended when he hurt his arm in the WJC.Dach's career ended when Makar undressed him for that beauty of a goal.
Correct, cause no one wants a giant made of glass on a planet with earth's gravity. He'd do good on the moon though I'm surelol he's not going anywhere
They can if you start from scratch but Montreal started theirs with a decent group of kids to build off and a good prospect pool.We ended up with Vilardi, who is another bandaid - so it would have been equivalent lol
As for your rebuild, they can take a decade or more - in fact, ask Buffalo fans. And Detroit fans. And all the other markets where the idea of tanking didn't work
It *almost* worked in edmonton, but look at the volume of top 5 picks they've had
Just because you're adding top 10 picks each draft doesn't mean you might not ever see a winning team in the next decade
I'm just repeating what I was told by Habs fans a couple of years ago
That’s the point some fans can’t understand. Habs are not subtracting any more for picks and Newhook was never brought to be a core player but much needed depth down the line-up.As is often the case with the Habs fan base, a large portion of it has badly overvalued the Habs players.
Dach, Dvorak, Newhook, Savard. These guys simply don't carry the value y'all wish or believe they did.
And the Habs don't win all their trades. Not under MB and not under Hughes.
I don't see the platform or reason for the Habs to trade either of Dach or Newhook today. If the expectation is they'll return picks.... who replaces them in the lineup?
Yes, blackhawks were definitely a team to follow at the timeDach at 1 goal five points and minus 9 is your definition of great?
Let me guess Hutson is doing great as well?
Dach was a bust when the habs acquired him and the fact that the hawks dumped him at 21 after being a 3rd overall pick was a pretty big red flag.
It's insane that any fans are mad about the start, Montreal is in a rebuild, the goal should have been to be 0-10-0. They've only missed the playoffs for 3 years now and a proper rebuild should see them out for 5 at least. they still need a few more high end picks, and then need them to actually work out, better than Newhook and Dach so far at leastthis thread is embarrassing.. he's basically played a handful of games over the last 18 months. No one knows what he is yet.
imo, at worst he's a top 6 winger with size - if he can't play consistently at C - which as mentioned, he's not in game shape yet.
Injuries remain a concern, but let's see.
Way too early to give up on him, or newhook for that matter.
Some fellow habs fans losing their f***ing mind over a 4-5-1 start which is the same record as like 4 other teams in the Atlantic
yes. Agreed. It's insane that any fans are mad about the start, Montreal is in a rebuild, the goal should have been to be 0-10-0.
