His weak play starts and ends with him not hitting anymore. It was a huge part of his game. It inspired him, it put a fire up his ass, it made him essential as a power forward. But he's afraid to get injured. He has been p***yfied.

Now I see why a team about to undertake a rebuild (Chicago) would not want this player as part of the rebuild. Hughes got fleeced. I would rather have Romanov.

Let's be honest though, I'm sure you'd look at your own posting history before his injury and your comments would have been the opposite. A lot of teams make significant mistakes in whatever state of their teams life cycle they're in. His effort level tonight was brutal, but I wouldn't throw the towel so soon after the good things he's shown since the trade.

I mean Chicago also gave up on Strome for no reason at all so I doubt they big brained that move. Hard not to think about how we could have maybe gotten an actual top 6 center on the assets used on Dach and Newhook.

I saw him at Bell Center tonight and I'm still scratching my head. Lack of effort, he seems unmotivated.
Even Dvorak looked better than him.

Waive him. Sunk cost at this point. Bad skater, bad defensively, not physical and to boot he has bad attitude and terrible body language. Living embodiment of a sandbagger. Not a player that deserves to wear the CH.
