Great contract. As a RFA, if he sucks in the first two years (of what would have been the bridge contract first envisioned), he can be bought out at a third the Cap hit, or close to 1M. Peanuts.

If he breaks out by year two, Montreal gets to see if he can repeat the production over two more years before handing out big bucks. That's a much smarter approach than handing out big bucks after only one productive season, for example.

Love this deal, even of Dach becomes a consecrated flop.
