Would’ve preferred a 2 year deal at that kind of money.

I guess the best case scenario is he’s a underpaid by this time next year or the following, or worst case he’s an overpaid 3rd/4th liner in the 2nd half of the deal.

It's less than Byron, Armia and Hoffman.......so not terrible, if Dach put it all together it's a huge win but at that salary, if he manage to be at least good enough to be a 3rd line, won't be a problem down the road at that age.

Not to mention, Dach is still an RFA when this deal ends and he will only be 25 years old. So if all goes well, he could be hitting his prime when his next deal is signed.

As I said in the other thread, I guess something else is coming. The cap is 82,5 M$ and now they have a projected cap hit of 92,7 M$.

In the offseason, teams can go 10 % higher that the salary cap, but the Habs are over the 10 %. I guess I'm missing something or something else is coming.
