Player Discussion Kirby Dach (Part 3): TabarDach Edition!

I had given up on this guy, but I need to admit I was wrong. He's back to being a menace physically. He's still a bit slow, but he invites contact and players pinball off of him, making him a plus board player. He's on track to being a useful middle-six forward with positional versatility. I still think the Habs would ideally look to get better at 2C, but Dach being serviceable there is huge for the roster's construction.

Crazy that some people had already given up on Dach tbh

you mean like 99% of fans and commentators? he played like ass and did not show signs he’d be back to nhl form ever, nothing crazy.

I can admit he’s doing much better although I’d move him at wing asap and get a real 2c.

He didn't show signs except for all the signs those of us were pointing out day by day. :sarcasm:

Dach came in looking really bad for obvious reasons, which lead to a mob fan mentality because even the real dumb-dumbs could see that he wasn't good. It was low hanging fruit. What wasn't as obvious were the gradual improvements he was making game by game. Those types of things generally go unnoticed by the féfans who just need to get emotional about something. Anybody who says that game 1, game 5, game 15 and game 25 Dach were alike just wasn't watching.

… Everyone and their mom and all those dummies you talk about were pointing it out as he got better. He sucked ass quite consistently for a long time.

Talking about fans and posters instead of the players is not a big reason to come to hf historically.

Him getting 2nd line minutes as though the games were meaningless while he re-habbed is what I myself could not stand.

Just like I can’t stand a soft 35% face off lifetime centerman while I can see that he has the potential to be actually usefull to the team.

Get a real centerman, play Newhook and Dach on the 3rd at wing and ice a Laine xxx Demidov line next year is what I envision.

Overlords' comment is fair to an extend but what you point out is an extremely annoying phenomenon here. People wanting to talk about other people than talk about hockey. Apparently disagreements and different perspectives are the absolute worst thing imaginable. Drives me crazy.

I wanted nothing more than Dach and Slaf to get out of their funk but every 2nd reply is about who’s right and wrong and who knows best and who eats crow. Feels like we’ve collectively regressed to 6th graders that grew up on social media.

I hope Hage replaces him completely in the next coming few years, he's likely done even if he does good few games..
