Kingston Frontenacs 2024 25 Season Thread Part Iii

That was one of the most dominant periods I've seen in a while. Gotta just keep it simple, stay composed and take a stranglehold of the series.

And I have to say - as much as the name mix-ups annoy me, I can take some solace knowing that he's messing Wolves names too - I've heard McCown for McCoy a couple times.

I was actually thinking I didn't hate this announcer nearly as much as I did back in the first time we played in Sudbury, to the point where I was wondering if it was a different announcers booth.

Absolutely

Reminds me of the Daniel walker years ago but not as big and walker actually scored a couple goals.

Just running around hitting people trying to put them on a stretcher. Guy is a LOSER. Doesn’t provide a single thing to the team other than penalties

Wolves are proud to have the worst broadcast in the OHL, and I don't think it's even close.

Has been calling Miedema “medema” and Willis “Wills” whole game

He is too slow to hit guys when they have the puck so it’s late and dirty

Yeah I can somewhat excuse the Finns being mispronounced, especially considering everyone mispronounced Uronen until the WJC, and even Miedema, but Willis is just not reading the game sheet. The weird thing is I could've sworn he called him Willis at least a couple times...

I wouldn’t care but the Sudbury guys were crying about the pronunciation of their players.

WOOOO fronts 4-1 and 3-0.

Should get the brooms ready for Thursday!!

Fun fact, I'm pretty sure the Frontenacs in their entire history under the Kingston name, going back to the Raiders, Canadians, etc... Have never swept an opponent in the playoffs before. If they pull it off it would be their first in franchise history

Asked this stats guy on Twitter about it he will get back to me and I’ll confirm that

Again. Gotta pull it off first. Could’ve against Oshawa in wrights draft year I believe but lost game 4.
 
Funny guy on Sudburys board complaining about them going 7d.

Kingston did the EXACT same thing lmao pick another excuse buddy

This is true. We've won 4 games in a row only 4 times (once 5). We won with Wright in 6 games.

We won in 2017-18 in round 1 (games 2-5) and round 2 (3-6).
In 1992-93 we won round 1 (games 2-5) and round 2 (1-2).
In 1986-87 we won round 1 (games 5-6) and round 2 (games 1-2)

Just staying healthy is the big thing you have to do. Remember back to the Peterborough series? They lost the first 2 games on the scoreboard, but star players started to hear skates and bhokedon the boards. Petes then won the series.

That’s why it’s so critical to get at least one sweep in the playoffs and put away teams as quickly as possible.

Can’t get hurt when you’re not playing.

Hope it is I loved those jerseys.

Again just about the count- scares kids. If they did something like this I’m not sure what they do with barrack the bear but maybe they keep him, after all it is for the kids and they probably wouldn’t read into it anyways

Took foot off gas in 3rd. 4-1 after 2. 28-18 shots after 2.

Currently averaging 41.6 shots/game vs you guys. You guys are averaging a measly 25 per game.

Goals this series: 12 in 3 games (4/G) you guys 6. We are almost doubling your shots and goals/game.

Not close besides game 2. However in game 2 we still had 14 more shots.

Not to throw cold water on your party, but remember back to the series that they played against the Petes in the 2014 playoffs or any time you have faced the Petes in the playoffs.

The first 2 games were throw aways. They are used to grind the other team down so that the stars get sore and by the 5th game they are hearing the skates coming to hit them along the boards.

I am not saying Sudbury is doing this but do not get too wrapped up in stats or scores. The big trick is that the fronts have to stay healthy and they need to win in Sudbury. Once you have won 4 straight then you can talk about it but I agree that 4-2 is not a big score to get excited about look at the penalties they are all body penalites

You may disagree with Taylon Steel, but he only got 1 penalty so he must be doing his thing well.

Maybe take a back seat on the analysis if you are not going to watch the game . Feel free to add opinions on the wider topics though
