Can’t wait to watch the game tonight. Wonder what line Hopkins plays on my guess is 2 perhaps with Czata/griffin and Moses

And first line would be martone, O’Brien and jelsma?

still think it’s really weird they’re allowing guys like jelsma, Leblanc, Misaljevic, Alfano, young into the game when guys like frasca, Thibodeau, christoforo and other guys that got passed on in this past draft are sitting and watching at home.

Could also showcase some good guys like lev katzin, aiden lane and Kieran Dervin that came over from other leagues for this years draft

I see Max Shewfelt listed on the roster page. Of course I still see Luke McNamara, Ethan Weir and Xander Vellaris listed also. Who looks after their page?
Have you emailed the club to voice your frustration? It appears as though anyone who has dressed in a sanctioned OHL pre-season or regular season game is listed - so likely an API call from the OHL database. They should clean it up, but not sure why it matters? Normally the OHL site has the updated roster but it appears to be having some issues as well. Perhaps a maint. issue.

It's been really glitchy the last couple days, everyone that's been listed at any point this year is on there. It's about 50/50 whether the right one pops up lol

Absolutely ridiculous but Hopkins is listed the 4th line RW with Josh Avery and Beau Jelsma. All I can hope is that the pregame lineup sheet means nothing because NHL CSS had 3 Eastern forwards ahead of him (Czata, Martone, O'Brien) - and that's the first line. Why the hell is Hopkins being played out of position on the 4th line?

Ridiculous. If anything put the guys like jelsma who are 5th year on the 4th line

I wonder if they rotate all 4 lines evenly?? Jelsma and Hopkins are both definitely better than a 4th line player.

I would hope they rotate evenly, it's meant to be a showcase for the players, winning doesn't matter for the coaches... I'm guessing Hopkins will be on PK, less likely on the PP but who knows.

OA's were at the request of the scouts and GM. The challenge with guys like Vellaris is tht in this game it is all about showing what you have. He has nothing to lose. Whereas when playing with you guys, he had to do what Mann told him.

I still think it is going to be Kingston Oshawa. Yes, he is rested, but if Mann goes with 4 D for most of the minutes, there is the chance that they get worn out or get injured. Even a small tweek can be huge inthe playoffs

That is the point I was making.
Not only are they going to wear down, but he (Mann) is also taking a risk to not receive their maximum effort from them, for saving their energy on the ice.

I'm not sure where this theory/concern is coming from. Mann is not going to run 4D when he will finally has 6 healthy and available veteran D with experience at his disposal for really the first time during his tenure. And that could finally be the case this weekend.

They just played a significant stretch of hockey where it seemed like he was running the guts out of 3 D (Burns, Uens, Williamson) bc they had to. McGowan, Pienemini, and Bishop were not available to him during that stretch. The three young kids got more time than usual but still needed to be limited to keep us in games (they did a good job btw). But to think they are going to run 4D and burn guys out down the stretch when everyone should be available is nonsense. The trade deadline, a healthy body, and the WJC being over gives us great depth and experience on the back end going into this stretch. I just looked this up and it kind of proves my point and why they had to run those 3 so much the last few weeks while the others were out.

Experience

Uens - 237 reg season games 11 playoff games

Burns - 193 reg season games 5 playoff games

Bishop - 137 reg season games 17 playoff games

McGowan - 120 reg season games 5 playoff games (missed significant time -serious wrist injury)

Williamson - 92 reg season games 3 playoff games

Pienemini - 34 OHL games, played Pro in Finland last year - skated with Wilkesbury in practices when season ended - silver medal at WJC
***************************************************************
Velarias - 35 OHL games
Moore - 23 OHL games
Mondoux - 5 OHL games

No concern at all, it is only part of a conversation and opinions. I am sure Mann's experience makes him well aware of how to best handle his team

It's either because Burns has been run into the ground because of absences (which will obviously stop now that people are getting healthy) or because he used a lot of 4D last year, I don't remember Williamson/McGowan/Chromiak playing a ton of minutes last year. Lots of Burns, Schmidt, Holmes and Uens if I remember right.

Apparently half the team is sick -- the other half that weren't sick on the road trip.
Wonderful... Hopefully this is the end of it and once it's gone all the way through the room they'll be in the clear. It's definitely going through the city, half my beer league team is sick too
