I just don't understand how you play THAT good of a game on Friday night and then come into Oshawa and drop an absolute stinker like that. We're playing like a last place team every single time we go to Oshawa. Mentally weak and undisciplined every single time. It's embarrassing.

I almost think if you took everything about Oshawa - players, coaches, building etc and just changed the name and jersey Kingston would have a better shot. They just fall apart against them and their only hope of anything in the playoffs is if Oshawa gets knocked out before they meet with Kingston (assuming Kingston doesn't choke in the 1st round.

I'll be curious to see what the 5v5 shots were - especially after Betts came in. He got absolutely peppered on the PP and there's not much you can do when Sennecke is given as much room as he was tonight.

They need to get their shit together this week for a good Barrie team coming in on Friday.

Trade goalies for every game we have lost vs Oshawa and we win. Friday and today are perfect examples. For that matter, you could almost say that about 90 percent of our losses this year. Either trade for a goalie or let Betts try to take the reigns. The two incumbents are not better.

Edit Maybe not the other blow out loss.

Ludwinski healthy scratch I believe. 14 games 1 assist.

5 games last year and 0 points. 19 total games played 1 assist. Clearly not ready for the AHL. Would be nice if he got sent back to kingston. That would be huge- we wouldn’t have to go wasting picks on another top line C like Allard while getting a big boost and a familiar face.

I think it would be smart for him to come back to kingston and get some confidence back up. Maybe try out the NCAA next year if that’s allowed and then try the pros again.

Ludwinksi isn't coming back to Kingston. They wouldn't have named Burns captain if they had any inkling he would be. The CHI GM told the Fronts in the summer to proceed on the basis that he will not be playing in Kingston 24-25

They were 5 of 7 on the PP. The 3rd overall NHL pick got 6 points. Another 1st round NHL player racked up a tonne of points, the fronts had 50 shots -- probably 70 shot attempts in total with the amount of missed shots -- it wasn't just the goalies - their PK was awful

5 for 7 on the PP for the Gens -- that's what is embarrassing. They had 50 shots on net vs Oster. "mentally weak" is a rather harsh statement to make about young men playing a game

5 for 7 is definitely not great but London was 5 for 4 yesterday plus a penalty shot goal! THATs impressive. I didn’t think Ottawas PK could get any worse and then…..

The same route that Josh bloom took is what I expect ludwinski to take. Ahl for a bit then echl. If echl doesn’t work out then back to Kingston
Coming back to Kingston would be the worst thing for Ludwinski it would mean that the Hawks have written him off.
He loses the rest of his contract. He needs to play against MEN nto play against junior age plaeyrs to develop.

He doesn’t lose the rest of his contract. He remains under contract. If he gets sent back (which I doubt would happen), it would be because the Hawks feel it is best for his development.

Ultimately, I agree that it is probably better for him to play pro, even if it is the ECHL. Unless there is a level of physical maturity lacking or some other similar reason, players with NHL Contracts should be playing pro, not be OA’s. For example, Stonehouse had a shoulder surgery and he missed the first couple months of the season. It makes more sense for him to play an OA year because he is behind the curve from a preparedness perspective. He isn’t a strong enough prospect to be able to seamlessly join a pro team as a rookie and continue his development. So, that is an example of a player that should be an OA.

Ludwinski cannot learn more in the OHL. He has an NHL contract. There is no real reason for him to return. If he is not producing now at the AHL level then he likely won’t’ produce next eyar at the AHL level by playing OHL this year UnLESS there is a physical reason why he isn’t producing.

I think players like Bloom getting returned last year twisted expectations - ignoring goalies because they develop differently, I believe there's only three signed OAs back in the OHL so far this year (Stonehouse, Hamara and Allard) - and even then there's more of an asterisk with them because with Hamara, Andlauer owns the Bulldogs so there's much more familiarity, with Allard there's the fact he was drafted as a 19-year-old, and Stonehouse being injured to start the year.

I'm not saying it's definitely not going to happen - but there's not a lot of benefit from Chicago's perspective to send him back. Would I love for it to happen? Absolutely. But unless Cooper's gotten any kind of indication that they'll be sending him back - they absolutely cannot rely on it.

Do we even know if Kingston has kept Ludwinski's OA rights? They don't really have any other '04s who's rights it'd be worth keeping so I'd imagine yes?
