Was a brutal game not gonna sugar coat it. It’s nice that there was people there today but they clearly were distracted and not thinking properly today with all the kids.

Fronts need to bring their A game for the remaining 2 games this week against top teams Oshawa and Brampton.

Wonder what the over/under is on martone netting a hat trick against the fronts on Saturday lol. He absolutely destroys the fronts every time they play. I’m sure we get smoked by Brampton. Hopefully we win against the gens.

Looking at the stats I think you have a better chance against Brampton. LOL

Good thing they picked up Lalaonde he seems to be the go-to starter.

Bramptons had our number over the last few years. Martone especially. With a big increase of his point totals this year and adding Carson Rehkopf it is going to be a long night for burns and pieniniemi

Reading through some of the NCAA threads it looks like only players that haven't appeared in BCHL games are eligible to play OHL this year - meaning the only player there's any real hope that comes to Kingston this year is Manza. I do wonder though if Dervin considers playing out his OHL eligibility after this year at SAC before heading to Penn State.

If they get Manza and he can step into a top 9 RW slot - that means Heyes is a little more expendable and they can maybe look down the middle for an OA.

Kingston will have a lot of open roster spots for competition next year so hopefully the understanding of a potential top 6 spot will be enough to lure some guys in.

Some glaring takeaways from the school day game.

We have forwards that are continuously turning the puck over trying beat people 1 on 1 when they have guys wide open to dish the puck to. Most notably 29 and 88 and they are doing it in all three zones and it seems to be almost every shift. It is really hurting us in terms of possession, ability to make changes on the fly when we should, and the puck ending up in the back of our net on many occasions. I know sometimes it looks like the D may have messed up or the goalie should have made an easy save, but often they wouldn't be in that position if the fwds are not turning it over beforehand. I know we don't hear what goes on behind closed doors but at some point their needs to be some repercussions or accountability. Right now it seems as though its the "don't do that again or I will tell you not to do that again." It had to be double digit turnovers for 29 if you count all three zones. And yes 88 is our best player but will someone in his camp please tell him he is a much much much better player when he is moving the puck and then getting open for returns as opposed to toe dragging someone and then looking for someone else to toe drag immediately after instead of making the easy play.

And how about Miedema laying on the ice in the O zone like a sniper got him while Ottawa went down on an odd man rush and then had us out numbered for quite some time. I'm sure it hurt and he was in pain but get to the bench. It was your mouth. And must have been able to get there bc he jumped right up for the powerplay once Ottawa took a penalty.

Going to be a tough weekend.

Completely agree. Since he put up all those points he’s been a completely different player and isn’t using the teammates and as a result the Hopkins Soto and Battaglia line hasn’t been as effective. Before those 3 were winning games all on their own. I’ve also noticed stuff such as things such as after o’ Canada he goes and skates around a big lap when everyone’s moving towards the bench or to get into position. Seems all these points have gone to his head.

Lol I remember that and meant to put that on here. At first I thought he was just doing that so the defence would push up and he would be left at their blue line for a clear breakaway but he went straight to the bench. I would’ve been screaming at him for that if I was a coach.
Going to be a tough weekend.
Absolutely. Even if they lose both just hopefully won’t be big blowouts

You're still living in a dream world thinking coach Mann would discipline those 2 players.
There are teams rules / expectations for all players and then there's a different set of rules for his favorites.
Does it truly matter though? Scouts see all of this attending the games, re-watching video and use InStat for analytics.

I've asked you this before and you didn't reply...
Do you actually watch the games live in person, or thru a streaming app like CHL tv? Your comments always lack the in-game presence.

It depends on what you think discipline entails.
Do you really think the team benefits from lets say taking Battaglia out of the lineup for a game because he turned over the puck to much?

Top players are always going to have a higher turnover rate because they naturally have the puck more than others.
With that said I can say that there was 2 games that stuck out to me that Battaglia was making poor decisions with the puck trying to do too much.
Battaglia in on pace for 100+ pts right now so there needs to be a little gave and take.

I know for a fact that Ethan Miedema did not have it easy last season and felt the wrath for poor play.
He has definitely tried to refine his game a little bit +has added a bit of physicality and has seen ice time rewards.

I figured someone must've got through to Miedema before the playoffs last year, I remember being pretty surprised at how physical he was playing while in his mini-feud with Leblanc.

I'm curious if he's done enough to get himself an ELC with Buffalo this year.

Re: Battaglia I wonder if it's a simple message where they take him off the PP for a game or two - like you said it's tough to sit a player tied for 5th in points. You also don't want to kill the creativity because that's what makes him such a good player
