Martin Chromiak with 2 assists vs HC Detva in Top Slovak league.

I think Chromiak is gonna make it as a solid middle sixer.

Maybe that's a little bold, but he just plays so fast and with pace, even if he's not high-end toolsy. He's got the brain. Can play with Shane Wright, but also produces well elsewhere. Everything he does is high speed, his passes have whip, his shots/releases are so quick, hard, and on target. Obviously the physical game will have to pick up and some of his effort is soft sometimes, but that's a make or break thing as a pro, I think he'll 'get it'. Great complementary player. Don't think he'll ever be a play driver or the guy you want lugging the puck thru the neutral zone but the guy can give and go, the puck doesn't have to be on his stick for long.

I dunno. He has skills, but he's very one-dimensional and has peaks and valkeys in terms of effort.

He may very well make it, but it's way too early for me to say he's going to.

He's Kaliyev lite, needs a lot of work on his overall game and compete level, but he has a high-end release that could get him places down the road. He got a lot of maturing to do, both mentally and physically. He's very young, one day younger than Byfield. Could end up being a steal, and certainly should be a good AHL player at the very least if the Kings sign him.

Yeah, I knew "going to make it" is a little too bold/assertive. I just don't see many prospects who process and move the puck as fast as he does, and that's even without high end skating speed/shooting power. It's really impressive.

He's kind of the anti-Dany Roussin, if you will. He wasn't merely compiling points playing with Wright, he's an active complement, and it takes some skill to play with that talent rather than just existing next to them and letting the puck hit you.

That's fair. I'm sorry if I sounded like I was nit-picking. I definitely agree he has talent to hang with a player like Wright. I just think he needs a lot of maturity and growth to have a reasonable chance.

With Roussin, even though I was very new to the whole concept of scouting and understanding concepts, I felt it was very obvious he was lacking skills.

Yep definitely don't disagree, he's a long way off anyway, if he makes it. I just remember being intrigued by him before the draft and everything I've seen since just seems like he's a mental step ahead of everyone else. I like that, that part is unteachable.
