A distinct kicking motion with your skate blade in an opposition player’s air space should not be kosher. That’s just typical Danault garbage.

There was one earlier this season against Ottawa(I think) that was an absolute joke. They've changed the rule. You can go nuts kicking the puck now. The rule was pretty clear before but now it's the wild west. I don't get it personally. There was nothing wrong with the rule before, not having blades swinging around makes sense. NHL: hold my beer.
