Jones w 3 shots, 2 blocks and 1 hit tonight. Wow. Cant remember last time he blocked a shot here or had a hit.

Good riddance.
Wut? He's always had a standard high blocked shots number over 100 each year. The utah game he had credited 5 hits and 4 shot blocks. Acting like he didn't try is bizarre

I'd imagine they would want a decent prospect also.
Dach for Nazar seems like a decent comp..so Toronto 1st and Reichel for Cozens could make some sense give or take some other pieces if Quinn is in the deal, Reichel plays with Peterka, get a late 1st and 6m in cap savings, Hawks get a cost controlled forward with ppg upside that gets a change of scenery, would prefer to keep Reichel and still get Cozens but if they want a young forward back fine

Was at the game tonight…

-Knight was very good, well-earned 1st star and he was loving the standing ovation at the end there. Great way to welcome the kid to the city.

-We’ve done a great job in this rebuild so far drafting and developing defenseman. Kaiser moves around really well, I saw him make probably 3 great plays based on his skating alone. EDM is fun to watch too.

I think we need a Dman with more offensive threat to his game though. Cycling back to the Dmen on the point is really just keeping possession, I don’t think goalies or defenses worry about them much. Yeah we need a forward in this draft but landing a great 2way guy in Schaefer would be phenomenal.

-Bedard needs more speed/quickness to his game. Yes, VERY true he needs more talented forwards around him but he’s not a significant enough scoring threat on his own (yet). His game will get better as he gets older and he fills out but he doesn’t look dangerous out there other than making passes his teammates aren’t good enough to get or finish.

-Gotta give it up for Drew Doughty. It’s my first time watching him live. The guy is simply a really smart player. He knows where to be and what to be doing at all times, he makes it look effortless out there and like he’s one step ahead. When I was playing baseball as a kid I was taught “if you don’t know what you’re going to do before it happens then you’re already too far behind”. Doughty plays that way and it was sick to watch him in person. Kopitar too.

Really too bad Toews and Seabrook aged out as poorly as they did. We won one more Cup than LA which is all that matters but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous they get to watch their all time great 1C and 1D play this well and for this long.

Yep. The criticism of Jones' play was over the top when he was here - it seems some posters want to keep sticking it to him. He will get the last laugh in the playoffs.

he played the worst hockey of his tenure when he came back from his injury, the criticism was just. The crowd did not boo him for no reason.

In fairness to Seth it is likely he returned to soon and was probably not at 100%

I was at the game last night....first period was as ugly as it looked. Nice seeing eye shot by Martinez stopped the bleeding a bit, but Kings just looked physically imposing ......Hawks need much more size with the forwards. The 2nd period, the Hawks speed was insane and you could see the Kings were a little deer in the headlight ....the counter attack was great to see and they deserved to come out of the 2nd with the lead. That early goal in the 3rd really might have hurt their mindset as they began to sit back a bit. Knight was solid throughout....tracks pucks, square to the shooter, in control---that has to help a young team---knowing the goalie is playing well and is in control. I thought Reichel was pretty noticable last night---seemed to have more urgency to his game. TT and the Russian were solid. When the other team has to contend with Reichel, AA, Nazar, the Russian,......that's going to make the other team's D sit back a bit. Dach with a nice game and look away feed to AA.....great game to go to!!!!
