I sure hope this coaching staff comes prepared with strategies come playoff time. If not, we are sunk in typical playoff hockey games.

Next 3 games against teams that like to muck it up, forwards on this team need to finish there checks on the fore check keep opposition on there toes, Petans days on this team are numbered and Armia has all but disappeared, have to find somebody that can play with Ehlers and Laine or split them up.

Copp sure as hell ain’t the answer, this isn’t the 80’s where you could put a no skill guy like Copp on a line with a star and get results.

Thinking back did a Jets forward other than Wheeler throw a check tonight?

Please Understand
The PK was awful. Could not grab a loose puck to save their lives.

Agreed. There were multiple times they had a chance to clear it out and couldn't. The Kings were on top of the puck retrieval tonight, and they were rewarded with what were ostensibly 3 PPGs. Just a really poor PK all around. f***, guys. Get your shit together.

Missed Lowry and Tanev tonight.
A couple of bad penalties was the difference.
Hate 5 hole goals - garbage.
Myers is an offensive d man - horribly soft in his own end
The second and third line were hemmed in a lot tonight
We really need to clean up in front of our own net - Kings didn't pay the price - Trouba missed in this area

No problem with the end result tonight. We need a few more reminders of what playoff hockey in the West will be all about. There will be very few 6-1 and 7-2 track meets where players get to pad stats. B2B in STL and Dallas this weekend should start ramping up the pressure a little more. And I think tonight gets Chevy leaning a little more towards a TD deal.

I think tonight confirmed something that Chevy already knew about his team.

There's no centre on this team that works with Ehlers and Laine. Separate then or acquire a new C .

Good games by almost enough Jets.

I don't see any reason for long term concern after this game. Jets have played and beaten physical teams convincingly this season (LA earlier, Anaheim, St Louis). Just get Hendricks off of that PK. I was watching him closely tonight and he does nothing to make life difficult for the PP unit.

Ehlers has made that kind of dumb play many times this season including just a few games ago against the Rangers who are probably the softest team in the league.

I thought we where fine physically, but we stopped moving the puck crisply for long stretches and that hurt us.

Frenchy tries but he comes out second best most times, Glue tried but he's a day late, a couple of Buff hits at the beginning of the game would open the Kings eyes up, Captain leads on this team in every way.

Scheif would be the closest, but everything would need to be off the rush. It would ask a lot of him to be responsible on the defensive end as well as dig pucks out offensively as well. That's the problem with Ehlers and Laine together, no one to do the dirty work along the boards and in the corners.

Po'Mo contrite in the post game media blitz...

Most sober straight laced replys from him tonight of the season to date...

LA lesson...

He is going to feast on this with his Jets...

I didn't see what you saw - our problems on the PK tonight were related to Kings standing in the crease for 2 minutes while our D stood in front of them.

6 3 1 homestand at this time of year is not very good. We do miss Troubs and Lowry. It really shows against the heavy teams. Ehlers played scared - doesn't bode well for his game in the playoffs. Gramps has had some somewhat decent games recently but tonight he was a joke. He looked like he doesn't belong in the NHL. Petan penalty stupidity off the chart.

I am getting worried about Helle. We need to start to work somebody into the rotation even if it may cost us a game or two.

Hendricks feebly waving his stick like an old man waving his cane on the Kings 4th goal makes me wonder what the hell Mo sees in Hendricks on the PK, I mean if your idea of a PK forward is a stationary guy that can’t pressure than I guess Hendricks is your guy!

Hendricks and Petan definitely the guys coming out when Lowry and Tanev are back!

I wouldn't be counting on Lowry, nobody seems to know wants ailing him, and if it's a concussion like some have speculated that will hinder his heavy game, Trouba we know should be back in a couple of weeks or so, deadline deal might bring us want we need in that department.

Wished for a better effort but oh well...Los Angeles is a very good team. Their record isn't reflective of it but underlying stats and goal differential are. They play that tough, grind-it-out hockey which has rendered them so successful the last decade or so (2 cups in 3 years...sniff sniff). I would want to avoid them at all costs in a 1st round scenario.

As others have mentioned, missing Lowry, Tanev and Trouba in contests like this already put us behind the eight-ball. When healthy we need to sort out our forwards lines like:

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Laine-Little-Roslovic
Perreault-Lowry-Ehlers
Tanev-Copp-Armia

^ In an ideal scenario, we get a gritty, physical winger on the 2nd line via the trade market. Would really sort out the (few) imbalances we have.

Maurice announced today he would be back by mid March and that Trouba would be back shortly after.

I agree that the Kings are boring just like the Blues.

Minnesota Wild reject Darcy Kuemper and his Canadian Tire silver spray can helmet made the saves to keep his team in the game.

Reject as in his MS derailing what could have been a great career.....
