I sure hope this coaching staff comes prepared with strategies come playoff time. If not, we are sunk in typical playoff hockey games.

Next 3 games against teams that like to muck it up, forwards on this team need to finish there checks on the fore check keep opposition on there toes, Petans days on this team are numbered and Armia has all but disappeared, have to find somebody that can play with Ehlers and Laine or split them up.
The PK was awful. Could not grab a loose puck to save their lives.
No problem with the end result tonight. We need a few more reminders of what playoff hockey in the West will be all about. There will be very few 6-1 and 7-2 track meets where players get to pad stats. B2B in STL and Dallas this weekend should start ramping up the pressure a little more. And I think tonight gets Chevy leaning a little more towards a TD deal.
Copp sure as hell ain’t the answer, this isn’t the 80’s where you could put a no skill guy like Copp on a line with a star and get results.
Thinking back did a Jets forward other than Wheeler throw a check tonight?
Scheif would be the closest, but everything would need to be off the rush. It would ask a lot of him to be responsible on the defensive end as well as dig pucks out offensively as well. That's the problem with Ehlers and Laine together, no one to do the dirty work along the boards and in the corners. There's no centre on this team that works with Ehlers and Laine. Separate then or acquire a new C .
Good games by almost enough Jets.
I don't see any reason for long term concern after this game. Jets have played and beaten physical teams convincingly this season (LA earlier, Anaheim, St Louis). Just get Hendricks off of that PK. I was watching him closely tonight and he does nothing to make life difficult for the PP unit.
Ehlers has made that kind of dumb play many times this season including just a few games ago against the Rangers who are probably the softest team in the league.
So heavy teams and Blues boring style zone defense seem to hinder the Jets
6 3 1 homestand at this time of year is not very good. We do miss Troubs and Lowry. It really shows against the heavy teams. Ehlers played scared - doesn't bode well for his game in the playoffs. Gramps has had some somewhat decent games recently but tonight he was a joke. He looked like he doesn't belong in the NHL. Petan penalty stupidity off the chart.
I am getting worried about Helle. We need to start to work somebody into the rotation even if it may cost us a game or two.
Agreed they can win playing this way, but not having Lowry and Trouba makes it a lot tougher.Did they not beat the Ducks and the Kings earlier this season and also absolutely dominated the Blues in their 1st two games?
Maurice announced today he would be back by mid March and that Trouba would be back shortly after.I wouldn't be counting on Lowry, nobody seems to know wants ailing him, and if it's a concussion like some have speculated that will hinder his heavy game, Trouba we know should be back in a couple of weeks or so, deadline deal might bring us want we need in that department.
I agree that the Kings are boring just like the Blues.
Minnesota Wild reject Darcy Kuemper and his Canadian Tire silver spray can helmet made the saves to keep his team in the game.
