I seriously doubt the Kings move either player. No way Byfield is traded, he’s definitely part of the future of the team.

Turcotte is playing good hockey for the Kings while being moved around the lineup, playing wing and center with success where ever they play him, at $775k. Where the Kings are near the Cap and Doughty returning from LTIR, the Kings need a cost effective player like Turcotte.

As a King fan zero chance we move Byfield so #1 is out. And it would be impossible to make the other move as we have no cap space and being up against the cap we need players like Turcotte in the lineup playing well with such a small cap hit. So I would do neither.

2nd was is instant no, if kings sour on byfield they could do the 1st trade if phillys first is a lottery pick

Kings are in a terrible spot, they prob need to hit the reset button…. But I think turcotte byfield and Clarke are the guys you keep around
the ducks in a terrible spot with all their highly touted young players being disappointing.

Kings youth starting to show signs

Byfield, Clarke, Turcotte and now Laf all showing they have the offensive touch.

Spence and Thomas in the lineup and still young.

Helenius and Lee have massive size up front and been better than advertised.

Kaliyev healthy and skating for the Reign. Still a wildcard.

Hell, even Mikey Anderson who is signed long-term at a great deal is just entering his prime years. We really have two old players and an older goalie but the rest of the team is relatively young and skilled.

Greentree and Ziemer doing awesome in the OHL and have both size and skill.

Our 25 and under crop is looking a lot better than it was a year ago plus we have a massively, talented goalie pipeline for the first time in years

As for the two trade submissions, I dont see them trading Byfield due to his projected growth and combination of size skill and skating, and Turcotte has to have the sweetest deal in the NHL right now and we’re just starting to see him healthy for the first time in his short NHL life. He has made numerous beautiful plays over the last week for goals and in the limited time looks to be a perfect fit on the top line if he stays healthy.

Am I the only one asking why the Kings would want Farabee? Or is he just a body to replace who we trade away...

He doesn't really bring anything we don't already have at home, I agree.

But his name freaking keeps coming up so there's SOMETHING to it and you know how Blake is once he has his gaze fixated on a player...
