That's fine, as long as you're consistent in saying "**** Quick", if he had squirted water in the direction of a heckling hawx fan.

Ah, man you take me too seriously.

I've already admitted the lawsuit is dumb, but is it that wrong to say **** Crawford? I am a Kings fan, after all.

Stix and Stones will break your bones ( it will eventually heal) but words can (SCAR you for LIFE!)

Hey, a human mouth carries enough bacteria and other bad stuff to make a person very sick! A serious bacterial infection of the eye could be caused by that spray. This coming from a medical professional.

Thank god it's not soccer. Hockey Hooligans?

what an embarrassment to King fans :shakehead

This probably all anyone will talk about today.

No one believes that this is typical of Kings fans. This is one knucklehead doing something stupid and taunting Crawford and now pouting when Crawford squirted the guy.

Every fanbase has its fair share of knuckleheads......

as if there's any backwash coming out of a spray bottle...

Clark Donger would lose the case on that.

"The bottle basically never even touches the mouth, and in Crawford's case, he doesn't take his mask off to drink his water bottle during the game, so it's really impossible. And these Gatorade spray bottles are made for squirting water, not sipping out of the nozzle." - http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2014/5/...ater-bottle-spray-fan-police-kings-blackhawks

Look, just throwing out a random "you suck" is dumb. But in my section at Staples half the fun is listening to some pretty clever hecklers. They know the game and they know the players and it's a lot of fun. Honestly, if you are making that kind of money taking some **** from the crowd comes with the territory. And 99 percent of players successfully ignore all this anyway.

never bought the argument that if you make millions, you should be open to heckling, etc. Your wages shouldn't dictate the level of verbal abuse you take.

 Love it.

I hope the guys lawsuit falls flat. Heckle all you want, just don't expect no one to heckle you back. He got sprayed with a bottle, big deal. Suck it up buttercup.

I was only stating a scientific and medical fact. The issue is if there was backwash or not. Since you were there the entire time and witnessed every drop of drink CC took, I guess there is a 0% chance of contamination of any bacteria or microbes in that water from the drinker. I play too. Sometimes the nozzle doesn't always work because it's either clogged or not enough air pressure in the bottle for the moment I want a drink. I sometimes unscrew the cap and sip away. But nope. CC absolutely never did that. 0% chance.

Guy rule #2: Don't dish it out if you can't take it

Agreed. Wong gets sprayed in the face now he gets the law involved ... embarrassment in my opinion.

I'll bite, without having read all four pages here, what is guy rule #1?

Is it "save the lying for the ladies"?

That is rule #3 Also known as "you don't have to lie to make friends"

Rule 1 is Bros before Hoes

I used to like yelling "Chris Pronger kisses his Dad on the lips" and things of that nature. The more absurd the better. What do you think Chris Pronger would do if I said that in an empty room? I mean really. I'd really hope these guys have thicker skin then that. I certainly do and I'd imagine most of these guys do.

I remember when I was about 15 or 16, i went to a Stars game. I was sitting about 15 rows up behind the penalty box. I was trying to impress my friends so I yelled something at Darian Hatcher while he was going to the penalty box and he obviously heard whatever I said because he looked me straight in the eye and gave me this nasty scowl. I sat back down in my seat and slid down in a way only a teenager who got called out on something would do. That look terrified me and I'll never forget it. So I get what you are saying but I think Mr. Hatcher was probably just having some fun with me (it worked) and I'd like to think short of suggesting one of these guys' moms is working the world's oldest profession, most of them don't take it too seriously.

Great story, and I like the Pronger part ... funny.

It's weird how quiet arenas can get though. Living in Vancouver I go to games where obviously the Canucks are playing and I love yelling out (just once a game) when there is a library like lull, "Canucks suck" and hear the reaction afterwards. Its like hitting a hornets nest. Needless to say my friends or cousins I go with don't appreciate it because they feel we're going to get killed after the game.

From the comment section of that link:

"LA Kings fans are the worst. They file ******** legal charges, write truly offensive eulogies, truly terrible eulogies, and pop streamers after wins in the playoffs. They only won a cup in 2012 because they played the trap and had the best goalie in the league, but now they’re winning with offense and in front of a below average goalie."

Classless

Ace Bailey family member? :dunno:

Sorry, I didn't get the reference. Are you suggesting that his family wrote that comment? It seems to me either that comment was sarcasm from a Kings fan or some truly butt hurt rival fan. Anyways, he forgot the "Kings fans boo when the opposition gets hurt". Classless Kings and their classless and clueless about hockey fans!

Kings fans write terrible eulogies? What the **** is that all about?

So let me get this straight: Quick is both the best goalie in the league and a below-average goalie?

Well then, the NHL is in trouble. Somehow, all the teams in the premier hockey league in the world ended up with below-average goalies and all of the above-average goalies, according to this moron, must be in the KHL, AHL, etc.

Imbecile.
