A really good article about Sutter, by Bill Plaschke of the lA TImes. He spent some time with Darryl in Viking on the family farm and in town, talking the locals, people who've known SUtter all his life. You read this and it really gives you a good insight on to why the Kings under his leadership, have 3 straight WCF's and 2 Cups in his 3 year tenure. His work ethic, earning his reward by putting in honest sweat in every day, in everything he does, earning respect the right way. You can see how his parent's creed and that backbone that is the family farm have influenced him.

There are some really good DS quotes in here but this one sort of sums up just how much he means to the Kings success, he's speaking to the full days he puts in on the farm but the blood and guts of that sentiment is also how he tends to the other critters he manages, the 2 legged ones.

"This life is blue collar, grass roots, straightforward, get it done, not a whole lot of B.S. involved in it," he says. "This is how we were raised and why we come back."

Oh Bill Plachke is finally willing to acknowledge the Kings?

Welcome aboard, Bill.

It was a pretty cool article but Plachke still gets on my nerves.

I couldn't finish it.

I actually read it about a week ago when it first came out...it was just so long...but it was a very good read up until the time I finally got bored with it. :)
